LOL With 5 Kids and herself to buy for Mom used to hate to hear that bell LOL

My personal favorite has always been Strawberry:  my sister always got Skylite
and Mom would get the chocolate with Marshmellow.

Tia,

I never got into snowballs or snowcones.  I didn't care for the crunchy ice texture and having to chomp chomp chomp on the ice with all of the flavoring falling to the bottom.  Although, maybe the snowballs I had aren't the same as the ones from Highlandtown?

I do LOVE shaved ice though.  We found a REAL shaved ice place in Carolina Beach a few summers ago and my fiance said it was akin to the Aoki's Shaved Ice in Hawaii (he lived there for about 5 years when he was young and his dad was stationed there).  I love how the flavor stays in all of the shaved ice and you can taste the flavor in every bite.  Too bad we don't live in Hawaii

Mmmmmm..........how I miss those! damn you Tia! LOL
My fave as child was cherry.....followed closely by lemon mixed with lime!
I actually was in Glen Burnie around prom time, when my daughter was getting her hair done, and there was a snowball "stand" right next to the hair place. I had to get one! I got a pina colada......OMG it was to die for!
But I wont be having another anytime soon..........I dont get to the other side of the ditch often! LMAO

Fields Pharmacyin Pikesville always had the BEST snowballs!  My fave was chocolate with vanilla ice cream in the middle.  YUMMY!  I  believe they are still selling their famous snowballs.  I think I will go get a fat and sugar free fudge bar out of the freezer. Leslie:(

In Florida we had snow cones, only off of a truck tho - never had snow cone stands anywhere that you could go buy one at; so unlike the 'millions' of snowball stands we have here.

our snow cones came in a cone shaped paper cup that always dripped from the bottom by the time we were getting close to done. lol

Ooh me and the kids stopped the other day and I had a SF Strawberry snowball it was so yummy... but they are expensive.

My mother and grandmother had a snowball machine when I was a child I can still remember them buying the flavors from Green's down by Lexington Market. They use to sell them staring at 35 cents now the cheapest ones are one dollar or more.
