SNOWBALLS!
OMG! Egg Custard was and is still my favorite! I haven't had a snowball in over two years - I think I should get one this evening.......hmmmmm
In Richmond - we had the ice cream trucks ding dingalinging through our neighborhoods. Of course I couldn't hear them until I got hearing aids, but the sight of children running down the street as if Godzilla was after them had me realize it was the ice cream guy.

Yep, still does, too! And the diet flavors are extra, too.
The best I remember was a scoop of vanilla ice cream in the bottom, chocolate snowball, marshmallow on top. This was called a "Highlandtowner!"
And yes, I remember that we got a dollar a day for the ice cream truck or the snowball truck. Mom HATED it when the trucks started selling candy, because my fave was sour green apple gum!! Pee-yew!!! LOL!!!
