Life is too short

Since my accident, all I can think of is things I would have missed out on if I'd died.

- new friendships - the better I feel about myself, the more comfortable I am about meeting new people
- rekindling old friendships - the better I feel about myself, the more I want to reconnect with friends I've let go
- enjoying my new body finally
- seeing my husband's eyes darken when I wear something tight
- getting tipsy off of 2 beers
- having a child maybe some day
- having my parents completely retired and living a comfortable distance from me (y'know, not too far but not daily-visit close either)
- seeing my little sis get married and have kids some day
- spoil her kids rotten

These last 3 days, I have been more patient on the road, not in a rush to get somwhere and let me tell you, it's calming.

Life is so short as it is. It's definitely too short to let our short tempers and hurt feelings get in the way of possible life long connections.

We might not agree with everything that's said by everyone here, we might not think every piece of advice is the best advice, we might not even respect everyone at the same level BUT we all share an experience. The experience of being judged and limited in our life by the "pound." I think that experience could be above our little misunderstandings and tempers and egos.

Come on people.

Let's just get along.

Who knows how much longer any of us have in this world.

I'll take this moment to say that I love each and every one of you.

So true. Thanks for posting this.

I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.

Sylvie - you know I love ya - but I love you even more now after that response to Tia.

I have to say this though and I hope I rub no one the wrong way, I'm exercising my  5th amendment right to free speech -   Life is too short to be wasting it on those people who want to move furniture around or make you move it.

I didn't understand the furniture reference. Is that 'cuz I'm a new citizen?

Whenever my sister would get angry, she'd say, "There be some furniture moving up in here!"
