Brian's Vascular Consult
He took it well.
he went by himself
he was told he will get and IVC filter either through his neck or his groin about a week before surgery (mostly to appease DVR as the vascular surgeon was not even sure he needed it) and that he has up to a year to remove it but the VS said leave it in as he can see that bri will need plastics after WLS but that he thinks only on his belly that his legs and arms are very muscular.
all he needs to do is get a chest x-ray.
we see the NUT on Thursday.
Brian also sees DVR for his final appointment.
I will be given another appointment for a month from now to weigh and yet again be told I haven't lost and I can't have surgery.
That being the case, I think it's time for me to bid you all goodbye..... since I won't be having surgery there's no need for me to stay here.

I love the first two lines... This shows a total difference between a married man and a married woman... We do all our appointments on our own without getting to worked up - a man needs his hand held... wondering what they do before marriage - do they take their mom? or do they become more needy after marriage?
Off topic...
Do NOT give up!! You don't know what will happen on Thursday - and you have worked your butt off for this, if it takes another month, then give it another month - after all, you didn't gain the weight overnight!
You can stay surgery or not - and keep us up to date on Brian and he progresses - even if he doesn't love us enough to post here, he has also become "one" of us as have you!

Nessa I can see you are way past frustrated but I will tell you that we will not allow you to go away. We all need support and at times in life we are given obstacles and hurdles. That's is all this is and you must know that we did not gain weight overnight and we wont lose it overnight no matter what surgery we do. I know you can seethe struggle everyday from this board. This we4weight crap is a minute by minute battle most of the time. If I recall you wanted to give up before but you stuck it out. You are the only one who can make the call. I do know you will get support here. I wish your hubby the best and I am sure you will come around and fight back and fight hard. I always have said good things come to those who wait. There may be a reason for all of this and you might not realize it or know it yet...Good luck...

Nessa,
I too will respect your decision to do whatever you feel is right for you. There is also no need for you to leave the board whatever you decide.
I happen to run across the following inspirational quotes just yesterday. I have been thinking about them for my own benefit. However, I am sharing them with you in case you find value in any of them.
"Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time." Thomas Edison
"It;s never too late - never too late to start over, never too late to be happy." Jane Fonda
"Having a dream is what keeps you alive. Overcoming the challenges makes life worth living." Mary Tyler Moore
"I was always looking outside myself for strength and confidence, but it comes from within." Anna Freud
