I don't officially have my date yet, but I've been told that Dr. S is booked til the end of September.  I'm not complaining, because I'm finally approved.. I just didn't think it would be that far off.

Those who have Dr. S; did you have to do any pre-op dieting?

I cannot answer your question about Dr. S. However, I just wanted to offer my words of encouragement. I know it seems like a long way off. The future always seems far away. However, it will be here before you know it. In the meantime, continue to make your preparations. Some times there are cancellations and you could get bumped up if you are available and ready to do so.

You made it this far. I know you will achive your goals.

Lisa, glad you got approved and just think Sept. is right around the corner. You will be thin for Xmas and the holidays. What could be better.. Remember time will fly by and you will have time to prepare...Congrats..

 Lisa,

That sounds about right.  When I got my approval, it was about 10 weeks between then and my surgery date.  He's just a really busy guy!

I did not have to do a pre-op diet of any kind, just no food or liquid after midnight the night before.  I had MANY MANY last suppers and loved every minute of it!  LOL!

It'll be here in the blink of an eye! And, no worries about the Holidays. I had mine October 30th and I still managed to taste my Thanksgiving dinner :)

Thanks ladies! I'm just super excited.  I'm sure I'll be so busy this summer that Sept. will be here before I know it. :)

Lisa -

After all you've been through, this is a piece of cake.  I know, it SEEMS far away, but as you've said, it's going to fly.

Your time will quickly be filled with your last pre-op testing, getting samples of protein powders/shakes, stocking up on water, Crystal Light, etc., cooking and freezing some meals for your hubby and baby so he can feed them while you're in the hospital and so you don't have to do more than reheat once you're home.

I think you'll wonder where the time has gone and soon enough, you'll be posting that you only have a day left before your surgery!!

Be sure to let us know the exact date!!!

Hugs,

Tia

Lisa, have you been seeing the nutritionist at Bayview, Margaret Furtado?  I really like her.

There is a support group meeting tomorrow at 5 that I am going to try to make it to (Dr. Steele wants me to go to a few before surg).  You wanna come? :D  Also, I think late sept is around when I am gonna land...we can be surgery buddies.
