I am insulin resistant.  I used to have the dark skin on my neck.

i have dark skin on my neck, but its from the dag on seat belt!!! hey honey some docs think they are pushing the patient to prove them wrong , and sometimes forget how much it hurts to tell us we wont do anymore , youve done great chin up and keep at it look at all the women and men in here that have proved them wrong. Go on now and if your gonna keep that party hat on SMILE

Are you on Metformin?  If not, maybe you need to be, even if you are not diabetic.

I'm not on anything.  My PCP isn't very helpful.  He doesn't believe that Insulin Resistance exists...  I really need to get a new PCP!

From one Dr. K patient to another, I'm with Jilly.  We all know how tough he can be and I sometimes think he says these things to us so that we try to prove him wrong.  You keep doing what you have been doing, don't give up and don't back slide.  I am also insuline resistant and have had a hard time.  I'm currently at 174 and happy to be here.  I feel great and my diabetes is gone.  I do however, want to lose another 20 lbs.  And, I'm going to try my hardest to do it.  I think you will be amazed at where you are at 1 year!  Who would have thought that you would be down almost 100 lbs in 6 months.  That's way better than a lot of people.  I'm proud of you.  You are not a failure, you only fail if you stop trying!

Hey:  Getting back to semi-normal.  The kids are doing good.  Our next court date is 7/28.  She has not told the people that my husband abuses me and my mother and she is fearful for her children being at my house.  OMG - I don't know how much more I can take of her.  Got a call from her Aunt today and she said that she was with us that MOTY needs help.  I sure hope she gets all the help she needs.

Remember to remind me when it gets closer to your beach time and I will definately try to get up with you.

Saw Ziggy this weekend, family reunion.  He is still a trip!  He'll never change!

Wow!  What a head case!!!!  I know you still have a long road ahead of you, but I'm SO glad they're with you.

As for Ziggy - you're RIGHT - he will NEVER change - he just gets crazier!!!!!!
