The good news is that my blood work all came back good.

The bad news is that Dr. K.  says that I will not get below 170.  I will not reach my goal weight.  He says that I'm doing everything right and there's nothing more he can ask out of me.  But, my body is resistant to losing weight and i will not reach my goal.  I'm very upset about this.  I'm only 6 months out and I already feel like a failure.

Hi Jenn!!

I've been wondering how you are!!!  I know Dr. K is tough, and I KNOW it's for a good cause, but like Jilly said - PROVE HIM WRONG!!  You can do it!!  You didn't come this far to let some man stop you, did you?? LOL!!

Hugs,

Hi there,

95 pounds lost in 6 months is FANTASTIC!!  Give yourself some credit girl. Don't let anything bring you down and Like Jilly and Tia said prove him wrong.  I think Dr. K says that to all his patients to give them a push to keep working their tool and to show that they can really reach their goal.

You can reach and surpass your goal. We are all here for you and remember going to support group meetings is very important to help you get there step by step.

You have done great and know that!!  Be very proud of yourself and work hard to get where you need to get. Don't let anyone steal your thunder.

Hugs,

I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.

I have to agree with everyone else. Just look at all you have accomplished so far. That is not the track record of a failure! You have done great. This is a lifelong journey. Stay the course and enjoy your new life.

Thanks for all the support.  The problem with proving him wrong is that I'm doing everything right.  I can't really figure out anything to change to prove him wrong.  :(

Determination & perseverance  You have another 6 months to reach goal.  I know you can do it.  Hey if I did it even getting pregnant 3 months after having surgery. Then you can do it!

I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.

ditto to what the others said!

Also, have you ever had your fasting insulin checked? You could be insulin resistant (not diabetic tho) which would make you more resistant to loosing weight.

good luck!
