MD BOARD COOKOUT/POOL PARTY

Although many people expressed an interest in a picnic, no one took the ball and ran with it, so my brother, *****sides in Essex and has a big above ground pool, has graciously said that we could invade his house for a loser cookout/pool party.

I've tentatively picked the date as Sunday, August 23, at approximately 1 p.m.  We can decide who brings what as we get closer, but I already know that you'll need to bring your own chairs, because we don't have enough.  His porch is covered, so there's room for people who want to sit in the shade.  I'll try to dig up yard games for the kids (and adults) who don't want to swim, but if someone wants to bring that, that'd be great, too.

Ideas?  Suggestions?

Thanks,

Tia

That's why there'll be plenty of chairs, so we can sit around and chat!!!

I just double checked on this - My nephew has one of those cornhole toss games. He said we can borrow it. It is easy to play for all ages.  Just let me know as we get closer if you feel it is a good fit or not. I will keep searching for any other ideas.

Thanks, Deb!!!  And thanks for the heads-up on the date!!!  I did, in fact, mean Sunday the 23rd, I never pick a Saturday because it's not a postal day off!

Any word on the job front yet?

Hugs,

Tia

Sunday the 23rd works for me - so I am glad that is the date!

On the job front - I placed a follow up call to the HR guy yesterday, got his voice mail and am still waiting for a call back. My friend who works there said that the head guy is now on vacation. I am hoping he already had the wheels in motion. But it is possible this will continue to hang until he gets back - sigh! She told me thing move slowly there (even gave me an example of another "critical" position they were trying to fill and how long that has been taking). So I am still holding out hope but am also moving forward with the job search in other areas. I don't have the luxury of a lot of time.

Thx,

Debbie
