HAPPY 2ND SURGIVERSARY, DARLA!!!

On Sunday, July 5, Darla will celebrate a milestone - her 2nd surgiversary!!!  And she's done an amazing job!!!

The first time I met Darla (and her parents), she had on a shapeless mumu, was hooked up to oxygen and honestly, I thought she was in her late 50's.  Sorry - don't think I ever told you THAT!!!

Now, she's a gym rat with boundless energy, and even though she's the second pickiest eater I know, she tries REALLY hard to do the right thing.

The one thing about Darla, though, is that morally and ethically, there's never a doubt that she does the right thing.  Darla's sunny disposition and faith in God help keep me (somewhat) on the straight and narrow.  Her love of family is equal to my own, and that, combined with caring, generosity, thoughtfulness and her appreciation of good friends, has made her one of my very best friends in the whole wide world!!

So please join me in celebrating this very special, special lady!!!

Wow late 50's huh?  geez I'm glad you never did tell me !

I just want to say first of all I'm pretty speechless reading what you wrote.
I consider you one of my best friends so its nice to know the feeling is mutual!

I do try and eat the right things but its so HARD :  Carbs are evil!!!!!!!!

But most of all I want to thank you for the love and support you have shown me
over the last 2 years:  many times I have thought I need to talk to Tia and you have
always been there with loving advice and sometimes a kick in the pants when I
needed it.

WOW, while I was waiting for the damn page to load, which I don't understand why it was taking so long... I was thinking of all of the things that make me happy to be able to call Darla one of my best friends. You got it just right Tia. I've told Darla a few times, that the reason good things like this happen for her is because she is such a great person. There isn't anything Darla wouldn't do for a friend, or especially family member who needed her. God doesn't make them any better than her!

Congrats Darla! I told you just the other day, you are looking great! I'm so proud of you!!
