that's what I wanted to hear.....a personal guinea pig!!! LOL

I'm really hoping that it takes away my CRAVINGS.  And only being able to eat limited quantities will certainly help.

Nope, we were about to submit  for insurance approval when I finally found out my insurance requires a six month supervised diet - this after telling me for 5 months that I didnt need it... so next week I go for my 2nd visit...

OMG, limited quantities! LOL  I can BARELY get down 1/2 cup of chicken salad!!!  It's amazing.  You know, I'm wondering with all the scar tissue I had, if it'll develop all over the staple line and my stomach and help keep my pouch from doing any kind of stretching??

I know Dr S does not use a specific size bougie, but it's probably somewhere around 34.  It will vary from person to person based on general anatomy.  From some of what I've read MOST but not all of the stretchy parts of the stomach are removed so I would guess not much stretching could occur.  I think the main thing that gets sleevers, as with most other WLS is slider foods and too many carbs....

Yeah, that's what I understand too.  The least stretchy part is what is left.  He didn't discuss the bougie size with me at all, but I asked him how much my tummy would hold, referencing 4 ounces and he said, "about that" and so far it's pretty accurate.  For the most part I can eat 2-4 ounces depending on how solid it is.  And yep, I think that the people who say they stretched their pouch (on the vsg forum) are those who are 2+ years out and their eating habits have gotten really relaxed.  They are blaming a stretched pouch on poor eating habits LOL  No excuses!  OMG, tonight I ate 2 very well cooked broccoli florets and 4 little bites of egg salad and I'm stuffed! LOL
