New favorite snack!
If you haven't tried it before, find and try Dry Roasted Edamame! I picked up a 29 oz container (they are very light) of it from Costco over the weekend. It was just over $6 . It's crunchy, lightly salted, and VERY good for us! In a 1/4 cup of it there is just 130 calories, 14 grams of soy protein and 8 grams of dietary fiber!!!! The package boasts "70% less fat and 40% more protein than peanuts". They taste somewhat similar to peanuts, same texture, but I think I like them better than peanuts! Thought I'd share. I know I get "crunchy" cravings!
Angie, I know you can get it fresh in a lot of produce sections, but what I got was dry roasted and I found it at Costco where the nuts, jerky, and cracker stuff is. I've never had the fresh, but my friend Heather M (Modell) said that she prefers the dry roasted herself, which prompted me to grab this when I finally saw it. I'd almost bet that you could find it any many forms at Trader Joe's or Whole Foods. Give them a call before you go!
