Guess What Guys...........
I was all set to wait and chew my nails for 2 weeks, but my paperwork was submitted to Carefirst BC/BS on last Wednesday and it was approved on Thursday. When i called the insurance company on Friday, i really didn't expect for them to have any info for me but Customer Service told me that it had been authorized on Thursday and she even gave me the Authorization number to convince me she knew what she was talking about.
I'm still in a daze about all this. You know, those 6 months supervised diet visits with the Nut really do pass sooner than you think.
I'm excited, but now i' really starting to feel a little nervous. Don't get me wrong, i'm very happy that my RNY is going to happen; i just hope that i can get thru with little or no complications.
did any of you have David Von Rueden of St. Agnes for your surgeon? If so, what was your experience with him?

Congratulations! I am a DVR patient. He actually performed my surgery at GBMC when he was there. I continue to see him for post op follow-ups. I like him very much. He can seem quite at first, but he knows what he is doing. He is extremely thorough and cautious. He will do everything in his power to ensure a successful outcome.
