MONDAY UPDATE: CIRA'S IN THE HOSPITAL - AGAIN!

I say again because yesterday, Cira called me from St. Agnes' ER, where she'd been taken after severe abdominal pains. DVR had been consulting with the ER docs, they did a contrast study, x-rays, etc., and suspected her lower intestine had a blockage. Apparently, the CT scan didn't show a blockage, but the x-rays showed the her lower intestine was dialated. DVR prescribed Carafate and Prevacid, and she felt much better, and was released this a.m., with orders to follow up with DVR early this week.

Minutes ago, I got a text from her telling me that she's being admitted to St. Agnes. I don't have any other details, but will keep everyone as updated as I am.

MONDAY UPDATE: I spoke with Cira yesterday. They couldn't scope her on the weekend, so they were going to scope her today. DVR has gone out of town, so Dr. Averbach is going to take over. They are leaning toward an ulcer, and depending upon what the scope says today, she MAY get to come home on a steady diet of ulcer meds.

I expect to hear from her sometime day, and when I do, I'll update again.

I can't leave you guys alone for a moment. Here I stay away for a few months and drama breaks out. I am so sorry to hear that Cira's been having problems. I keep meaning to call her and as usual time gets away. Please give her my love, good thoughts and prayers. I'll look out for your updates. Can she be called in the hospial? Or maybe she's too sick.
