stomach in a knot
I know almost nobody's around here this weekend but I needed to vent. I had a colposcopy on June 2 because my yearly PAP had been abnormal and so had been my follow-up PAP 6 months later. So, the doctor went in and took 4 cuts out of my cervix. She said she'd have the results by the next week. I didn't hear anything, so I thought it must have been all good. Last Thursday, June 18, more than 2 weeks after the procedure, she called and left me a message asking me to call her back. I didn't get her message till the office was closed and she was out Friday. The nurse who took my call out me on hold while she got my file and then told me she couldn't tell me anything. The doctor would have to call me back.
Now, I am on pins and needles, I can't concentrate on anything. I am so scared that it's something majorly wrong!

I don't blame you for being upset to be left hanging like that. I get so mad at the medical profession when they do things like that. To them it is just a matter of business as usual. But they have lost sight of what actions such as those do to a person. GRRRRRR!
For now, let's try to think positive and just BREATHE!
Hugs!

Good thoughts coming your way!
Don't stress to much, for all you know the reason she couldn't tell you anything was that she couldn't find your file!!! If something is wrong, normally the file is out on the doctors desk... Or it was put on her desk to call you and forgotten...or it was put back and put back wrong... There are tooo many reasons she couldn't tell you anything to list.
If something REALLY bad was wrong, she would have told you to come in and scheduled an appointment for Monday - since you don't have appointment, it is in my book likely something minor or uneventful...
Good vibes coming your way!! Deep breathes!!

deep breath they can't tell you anything it's the law the doc has to talk to you. if there is anything on the colposcopy they will suggest a LEEP. it's not bad. we can talk more when you have more info...
