Still no word on the peer to peer review
I was really hoping to start my weekend off with some good news. Apparently Dr. S is playing phone tag with the BCBS doctor. Last thing Dr. S's office told me was that the insurance doctor was patched through to Dr. S's cell phone. I haven't heard anything since... So I don't know if they actually talked or not. I guess I'll be spending my weekend stressed out about it. I know there's nothing I can do... But I'm stressing, nonetheless.
I was in tears today because I just want them to get it done so I know one way or the other if I'm getting approved or denied for VSG. If I'm denied, then I have to think of my other options. My family doesn't want me to get the full RNY. But I personally do not want the Lap Band. Ultimately, it's my decision but I'm tired of the guilt trips. My husband said to me today "don't you care about your daughter? what if you die". He's very against the RNY but supports my decision for the VSG.
I just wish this wasn't so hard.

Don't give up Lisa!! You are almost at the finish line. I don't think I have ever met anyone that has worked so hard to get WLS. I admire your gusto, you know what you want, and you go and get it! That's a wonderful quality. Remember what you wrote in your last post, this is YOUR decision. You know what WLS suits you, keep strong ! My fingers and toes are still crossed, and my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Leslie:)
Okay, Lisa, it's Monday morning, so I'm sure you're going to give them a call. Keep us posted!
I'm sure your hubby's attitude is just adding to your stress, so just try to keep in mind that no matter which type of procedure you have done, you're doing it for him and your baby, but most of all, for you!!!
Once you're approved, you can take hubby to a dr.'s appointment or support group meeting with you - I'm sure it'll open his eyes!
Hang in there,
Tia
