gotta go to court today

We were in an accident in April...rear ended on I-83. The kid never paid the ticket so now we have to go to court  by 10:30 this morning. I am so angry because I know we are really not needed there. I guess he is going to try and get his points reduced or amount of ticket lowered.

That sucks, Gail, that you have to take off from work to go.  I'm not really sure what you can add - rear-end accidents speak for themselves.  Maybe he's going to come up with some stupid story of how YOU backed up into HIM!!

At least it wasn't scheduled for next Friday!!!

I'm a little late but hope it went well.  If both parties don't show up, he'll probably get off, depending on his driving record.  That happened to me once.  I rear-ended someone, went to court, and the woman didn't show up.  My insurance still paid for her damage but my ticket was dismissed.

I'm back! He pleaded guilty w/explanation and he got no points. Good for him. He was a nice kid...19 years old and he was very apologetic.

AND NO, IT'S NOT, SORRY.  I'M STILL HOPING TO GET OUT EARLIER THAN 4!!!

Because if she didn't show up he was probably guaranteed to walk away with no points, no fees, 'no nothing!' 

I'm glad he did the right thing and pled guilty.

I can go at 3:30 but I'll stay till 4 in solidarity with you!
