ACK that sounds like a horrible experience!

I can't wait to hear about your sleeve experiences, maybe one day I'll have one myself...

I of course will be happy to share all of my experiences!  You don't even have a surgery date yet do you?  Did you have to do the 6 month diet first?

Oh God, you missed that fiasco. Starting last November I started calling my ins co and they told me NO 6 month diet.  I had called about 4 times and always got the same answer..  Fast forward to 2 months ago - I thought we were ready to submit to insurance and Dr. S's office wouldn't submit without me confirming for absolute certain as they say my ins co always requires the 6 mo diet.  I ended up with my HR department and I DO have to have that 6 mo history. URGH. Sooooooo that set me way behind.  I have my 6th visit in November.

That friggin BLOWS Angie!!!!  Sorry I missed that; it was around then that I backed off the board a bit because I had so much going on with having the baby and my Dad's health was up in the air, etc.  I found a way around the 6 month diet in the beginning.  I documented all the diets I had been on (including paid ones like WW, NutriSystem, etc), how long I did them, how much I lost and regained, etc and had my endocrinologist, primary, and gyn wrote letters that they were aware that I had actually did the diets and was always a compliant patient.  Worked!  Wow, I can't get over that you have until November for that!  UGH!  Keep up the good work and hang in there!

Maybe I'll take tylenol before I go in.

Heather glad to hear you are doing well.  I am fairly new to the board and I had VSG in December, I love my sleeve.  Take care and get your rest.

I watched them pull out my mom's drain from her appendectomy.  That looked really painful!  At least it's done, right?
