I'm Back......
After my daughters graduation party, she announced that she has a 21 year old bf & that she isnt planning on staying at our house any longer, she is going to stay with him! First, let me remind you she is 16! Granted, she is very intelligent for her age, hence why she graduated at 16........but the fact of the matter is she is still 16!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So needless to say, hubby & I went off the deep end! It wasnt pretty at all! It ended up with other family members involved and even the police! Yeah, not pretty! So the last couple of days have spent crying my eyes out, getting certain laws verified by DJJ & MSP, and bringing her little ass home!
During the course of all this, hubby was rushed to the ER with chest pains........he was kept there for 17 hours and then released with a diagnosis of walking pnuemonia {he didnt even show signs of being sick! } and 3 ribs that didnt heal right after a car accident a few years ago are splintered & pushing on his fluid filled lung!
Ya know, family matters are never easy, but I must say that this has been the hardest thing I have ever dealt with! Between the stress & the constant going to different agencies, I have put my health last. I have had about 12 hours sleep since Monday, and I havent taken the time to eat a real meal.......I got on the scale this morning, and I have lost 9 pounds.......not the way I wanna lose!
But to sum it up, she is home....hubby is doped up, and I am back! I am taking the next day or so to catch up on some sleep, to get a few healthy meals in me, and pop in here as often as my weary body will let me! I HAVE to destress & get myself right....my surgery is next Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am not quite sure of all I have missed, but I will do my best:
1} Darla....I am glad you made it thru your procedure fine & congrats on the mani the same day!
2} Angela..... congrats on the loss!! Your doing great!
3} Happy Birthday Angie!
4}Heather M......I am glad you are re-cooping well!
5}Crash220......way to go on your appointments, youre moving right along!
6)Mellie....I am glad to hear you are home & recovering....I wish you the best!
For any I have missed, I apologize!
~hugs to all~

No Matter How I May Change, I Will Still Be ME!!!!
Please do take care of yourself before your surgery - maybe go get a pedicure, manicure and all that good stuff. I had a pedicure the night before my surgery and that was the best destresser - it took the edge off my nerves - because I knew I'd have pretty toes and no one would be giggling about it in the OR.
Here's to wishing a carefree weekend!
Heather:
Congratulations for taking the "bull by the horn." Some parents wouldn't have gone through the troubles that you have and would have let their daughter go. She might not be thanking you know, but when she comes back to you (you know how girls go through these stages) she will thank you!!! Keep her busy, because if she wants to be with him. She will find a way.
Now, take a little time for yourself and get ready for "your day" next week. I went through drama just a week before my surgery and hubby told me, why don't you consider postponing. I thought about it for about 10 seconds and then said, now way. There is nothing standing between me and this surgery. Good luck with yours!

When we believe, all things are possible!
So glad you're a strong parent with a backbone and that you're willing to do what it takes to keep your daughter at home. So many other parents don't have that kind of fight in them, even tho it's best for the kid. Kudos to you!!! Now go give her a swift kick. hee hee
