Hi Everyone,

I know it has been a REALLY long time since I have posted and need some guidance/help.  I am 2.6 years from surgery and at my lowest I was 158 lbs.  I am now 170lbs and well I am freaking.  In 1 year I have gained 12lbs.  I am back to walking 1.5-3 miles a day but I can't seem to make the scale move.  I just want to loses 10lbs.  I know it is my eating, went back to some bad habits, but its like I need to re-train myself, again. ugh......

So back to just protein??? It is so boring and I know I have not streched my tummy out much, cause I can only eat 1/4 of a sandwich, 1/2 a hotdog etc, of course 20 minutes later I can eat the other half of the hotdog...LOL

Love ya'all

Hi Jen!

Good to see you!  I hope, other than the small regain, that everything's going well in your life!

I've read that, to some degree, a small regain (10%?) is somewhat normal.  Of course, it doesn't FEEL normal when you've worked so hard to get where you are.

The only thing I can suggest that seems to work for me, anyway, is to try to completely eliminate refined carbs and go back to the basics of protein first, plenty of water, exercise, etc.  I don't know that it has to be boring, I've been playing around with some high protein recipes that seem to be pretty yummy - you have to get somewhat creative with any type of weight loss progam so you don't get bored!

Yeah, helpful, hmmm?  Sorry!

Good luck!

Good luck Jen!!
I really just wanted to say that... I wasn't here when you were, but we have the same surgeon!!  Good to see that you have ONLY gained 12 pounds though!!! Just think where you would be without the habits you did keep from the surgery!!

I am gonna guess forgetting the other half of that hot dog would solve some of the issue *grins*  But hey, I am only 3 months out, I can't think about the other half yet!  (Haven't even gone as a far as a hot dog yet...)

hehehehehe me too!! Its protein powder honey bunny. I use Body Fortress Super Advanced Whey Protein from Wal*Mart!! Its so so much cheaper there!!!!! I get the 2lb choc tub for 14 bucks at Wal*Mart!! It burns fat super fast!!! Its how my hubby lost over 120 pounds ON HIS OWN!! ;o) It comes in a variety of flavors and I use choc to mix in my coffee because I hate the taste! In coffee I can barely taste it at all. LOL

I have two tubs of that chocolate and strawberry on top of my fridge that I never used... ROFL I HATED the ones I liked right after surgery and never tried any lately....

I think it is time to give it a shot again!

Anyone have any suggestions on what to mix either of them with - I don't do coffee or hot drinks...

LMAOOO I know right! ME TOO!!!! Hated it and would NOT use it until I saw it knock off 100 pounds from my hubby! LOL I just started using it again. My GF uses the choc and puts it in the blender with PB to have a Reeses like taste! LOL

I think I need to stop at the grocery store on my way home tonight...

On my shopping list are milk, peanut butter, strawberries and whatever else touches my fancy for starting the shakes again...
