3 THINGS FOR WEDNESDAY

It would be easier to deal with if he just wasn't helpful.  He's mean!  He yells at her and won't even fix her anything to eat when he's fixing his own food.  It's really very sad.  I could never stay in that marriage.  :(

I am so sorry for your Mom and no one should deal with a man like that. My Mom was the same and I remember it all to well. I always said to her since you cut up his food you might as well chew it too. I remember before TV remotes she would change the channels for him too. I learned well and no way would I tolerate that S**T... This is so sad and I will keep your Mom in my thoughts and pray for her strength...

I tried one pack, then bought 6!!!!

I've written down a lot of stuff over the years - silly stuff, funny stuff, sad stuff.  My plan was to keep a journal of sorts for them, but that never really panned out!  Fortunately, I have an incredible memory for embarrassing incidents!!!

Hey, if you go to TJ's before the beach (you had said you were), could you pick up some guac-salsa or just guac and some soy/flaxseed tortilla chips or pita chips?  I'm bringing some stuff, but don't know that I'll get to TJ's before then.

Can't wait to see your new 'spensive PDA at the beach!!!

Tia OMG I loved that gum too. Glad your boss will be off happy days are coming. I hate the rain and do hope you all have great weather for the beach. Mom's food is always the BEST! Glad you talked to Cira I miss her on the board. Glad the kids are surviving each other. Today I am glad to be back on track with my food. I also am very happy that even if I only stayed a while the Crofton meeting was nice and I am amazed how people are so open and after so long we feel free to talk about weight.

I am Thankful...

1) Hubby's dad made it out of surgery with no major trouble. Doc said he had double hernia and his intestine was large and really pushed through them. He also said that he had hardly any tissue and what he had was  old so he had to use mesh and wants him to do nothing for the 1st 2 weeks. Hard to keep him still..

2) I am thankful I am taking care of my neighbors 2 kitties I love them even if I am allergic.

3) Thanks to all of you who prayed and keep my Father in law in your thoughts and prayers..

DARLA, I am wishing you a uneventful procedure and a speedy recovery....

Julie -

I am SO glad to hear your FIL's surgery was successful!  You're right, the hard part is going to be keeping him still!

I'll post more on Darla when I hear from her or her Mom.

Have a good one!

Morning all!

Good thoughts for Darla today!!!

Today I am grateful:

1.  that the DH is off.  His days off are Monday and Wednesday and we don't spend much time together.  Looking forward to having dinner and spending the evening with him.

2.  For my furdoggies!  It was 2 years ago yesterday that we 'rescued' Hunter. Someone was giving him away for free..... we found him via Craigslist.  I went to meet him, just me and my Shadow-monster... they hit it off instantly!  Hunter is NOT the best looking golden, and he was filthy and didn't get much care, and was left outside most of the day.  I called Bill, told him about Hunter and we went back to get him the next morning.  He's been a mama's boy every since.  He's only outside when he wants to be, and he has a nice couch and/or bed at his disposal at all times. AND better food than that kibbles n ****s they were feeding him.

3.  Friends - my friend Liz knows I've been needing a haircut so she calls at 8:30 last night and told me to come on over. YAY!!!  Free haircut. lol. She cut it a bit shorter than I hoped for, but it'll grow back in 2 weeks or so.

HAPPY PUPPIVERSARY, HUNTER & ANGIE!!!  You have SUCH a good heart, honey!!!!!

Enjoy the time with your hubby!!!  And it doesn't get any better than a free haircut!!!  WOO-HOO!!  Mine grows REALLY fast, I could probably get it cut every 4-6 weeks, but I don't wanna spend the $!

Hugs,

T

Morning all - I can't believe it's so close to noon already.  I overslept this morning which I rarely do and didn't get out the door until almost 9:30...OY!

I can't do the sour thing...never could...give me good 'ole sweet and I'm fine!

So glad that you got to speak with Cira!  I miss her around here!

Today, I'm grateful...

1.  That Darla's surgery went well and that she is on the road to recovery.

2.  That although it's sad, my parents' dog Maggie is now at the Rainbow Bridge free of pain and suffering.  She had an extremely large mass in her abdomen and hadn't been able to keep anything down for over a week.  I don't know all of the details yet but I'm happy she's free now!  I feel bad for Jack, who I sent to live with them several years ago after he stopped getting along with my other boxers, is now an only dog.  He loves to play!!

3.  That there are only 2 days left in this week (after today) and 9 until we go to da BEACH!!!

Have a good day all!
Heather
