3 THINGS FOR WEDNESDAY

Good morning!!!  Gosh, apparently, we're living in Forks (town in which Twilight is set).  I see rain, off and on, for the next 5 days!!  ICK!!  Well, on a happy note, maybe we're just getting it all out of the way so we have a great, rain free weekend next weekend!!!

Today, I'm grateful for:

1.  S/f gum - Yes, I'm crazy, I think we established that long ago.  Anyway, Wrigley's "5" gum has a new flavor - Zing!  It's sweet/sour - for all of you old folks, it reminds me fondly of Adams Sour Cherry gum!!  I used to LOVE this stuff!!!!  LOL!!!

2.  Mom's tuna salad - Don't know why, but Mom's is the best.  I can make it the same way, but it doesn't taste the same.  Weird.  But definitely a comfort food for me.

3.  That after tomorrow, the boss is off for a little over a week.  Thank you, sweet Jesus!!

4.  Darla's procedure is this a.m., so hopefully, everything will go smoothly and I'll hear from her in a while.  When I do, I'll post an update.

5.  I had a nice, albeit short, talk with Cira the other day.  She and hers are doing well, she's just busy with work, hating the commute, and hating the pressure of sales.  Even though she's a customer service rep for Verizon, once you have the customer on the line (most of whom are calling to complain), you HAVE to try to sell them a service.  This is really distasteful to her - somebody's calling to complain about their bill, service, etc., and even if they tell you they're unable to pay their bill, you STILL have to try to sell them additional services.  ICK!!  I know she's hoping something better will come along so she doesn't have to be in sales.  Her family's doing okay and she misses everyone here!!

6.  That KB have not yet killed each other since they're their own daycare now!!  The first morning, K said she came downstairs to find B standing on the arm of the family room sofa, pointing a toy rifle at the tv!!!  LOL!!!!

Have a great day!

I'm a bit tired from taking care of Mom.  I'm really not the caregiver type.  My Dad is not helping her out at all.  :(

1.  My mom got her drain out and tomorrow I take her to the surgeon to see if she's cleared to drive and go back to work.

2.  My son actually doing the chores he has listed for each day he's home.

3.  My new cute, child sized Bento box!

Evidently I live under a rock!  What the devil is a Bento box??

As for the caregiving - ugh!!!  I SOOOOOOO feel for you Jenn!  I feel like I am so often in the caregiver position even though I am a 'fox', not a 'St. Bernard' and I know just how hard it is.  You certainly should not have to deal with an antagonistic third party - I don't know how you do it!  God bless!

Mare -

Check out either of the two sites we listed, it'll SHOW you what a Bento box is.  Basically, it's a bunch of small containers that seal tight and keep your food from leaking into the other.  It's good for us who want to take some grapes, nuts, cheese, lunch meat rolls, etc., they all fit into one bigger, outter box.

You could do the same thing with small Gladware containers and a lunch box!  I essentially, have been using Bento boxes for years!!  lol!

Jenn -

I feel for you - it's hard being a caregiver, REALLY hard.  And I'm sure it frustrates you to no end that your Dad isn't helping out.  I assume you've talked to him about it?  Here's hoping that after tomorrow, your Mom's more mobile and able to do more.

I saw the Bento boxes on www.lunchboxes.com, just haven't decided if I really NEED one.  My wallet says I don't right now.  But I'm thinking I MIGHT buy one for K to start school with.

Have a good day!

Tia

Take a look at the ichiban site.  I couldn't believe how cheap everything was on there!  I showed you the most expensive item I bought!

I know its so hard to be a caregiver and most men dont help much since they are use to the woman doing it all. You know we are not suppose to get sick or God forbid have surgery. I hope all goes well with your Mom and she will get cleared. Glad for your new box. Take care you are a good daughter and you are being blessed..
