HEATHER M. UPDATE
Okay, you people are wearing me OUT being in the hospital!! LOl!!! Just kidding!! Heather texted me this a.m. and said she was having gas pains in her shoulder - if you've never experienced that, you don't know WHAT you're missing!!! She did give good reviews on the beef broth, but said that the chicken broth tasted like dishwater!
She SHOULD be going home today and might not need the drain that she has, which is GREAT news!!!
I'm sure she'll post once she's feeling up to it; in the meantime, I'll post whenever I get an update.
Hugs,
Tia

Ugh!!! I had my drain in for 10 days (3 days longer than normal), and the way it was situated inside of me caused me a LOT of pain, therefore, the removal of it was like a gift from God!! Until.....he pulled off blisters that had formed because I was allergic to the adhesive!! Ahhhh, yes, I remember those first few post-op weeks well......shudder!!!
Have a great time at the concert tonight! If you're mosquito meat like me, make sure you take your bug spray!!!!

I think it's all in how they remove them. When I had my breast reduction 11 years ago I had one drain on each side. When she took them out, she did it slowly and although it felt wierd, it did not hurt. When I had my drain removed after RNY, she ripped the thing out as fast as she could and it felt like my insides were being ripped out with it.
Ask them to do it slowly if possible!!
