Musings from a hospital bed
1. Morphine pump is only good with food in the belly. Yesterday morning, after the srgery, it made me nauseous because of no food. But after dinner, it's been my best friend.
2. The drains look less creepy than I imagned.
3. With all our technology, they still have to wake you up every 2 hours to take your vitals?
4. Thank heavens my sister brought some corn muffins last night because the hospital dinner was pretty bad.
5. I do have to say the nurses and staff have been awesome. Brought me ice chips and graham crackers whenever I asked for them.
6. I am loving the honey graham crackers.

What hospital are you at? St. Agnes? I can't comment on their food, it was all pureed... LOL and I wasn't get in the mood for real stuff - other than that apple sauce that was prepacked, I don't think I ate much... I can't say I was ever offered ice chips at all either, that would have required a nurse who wasn't doing what she had to immediately so she could clear the next crisis up...
I love graham crackers - haven't had one in forever!! Probably a good thing *grins*
I can't comment on the pump and nausea either... LOL
But the fact that you are up and posting says you are on the way to recovery!
