I hear ya!  Call me overprotective (but I don't think I am), but even when B goes to his friend's house two doors down, I walk him down there (remember, they live on a terribly busy road).

I'm not taking ANY chances with kids that aren't mine!

B kayaking?  Not a chance!  His DS would get wet!!  LOL!!!

Kylie wants a DS!!!  Her cousins each have one and now she wants to use a "PEN" with her Fisher Price laptop computer LOL

Heck, I take no chances with kids that ARE mine.  My road freaks me out; I hate it and there is no chance of us getting speed humps because the police and fire like to fly through here.  Most cars go at least 45 mph in a 25 and we are lucky when they stop at the sign down at the elementary school.

B actually is getting a DSi for his bday in July (apparently it has camera and music capabilities).  Game Stop has a deal where you can trade the old in for the new!  Pretty nifty!

Oh Yah!  Floyd trades games in and gets new ones for next to nothing!  Hmmm, maybe I'll get her a used DS as a starter.  They basically recondition them anyway.  Oh!  We bought a Wii Fit at Costco the other day.  Just need to hook it up.  All of us loved it when we had a playdate with "Milk Belly" on Friday night.  It's really cool!

If more parents gave more supervision (and I don't mean hovering and smothering) there would be less missing kids.  JMHO!  I'm also a firm believer that too many kids don't get enough attention from their parents and that's when kids find attention from others and get into trouble with the wrong crowd, drugs, alcohol, pregnancy, etc.  LOL

LOL have you had your valium and glass of wine yet? She'll be fine, kids do this all the time. Heck it sounds like fun. Do they need anymore chaperones to go?  Why don' t you join in?

Honestly?  It's that whole, "what would I do if my fat a$$ doesn't fit in the kayak?"  I guess I could always spray Pam on my thighs!!  I'm laughing, but that IS one of the reasons.  The other is that I have B, too, that day, and there's no way in hell he'd do it.  And.....it's $35 for each person.  I told her I'd treat her to it, but I've got other things that $35 can go toward.

She deserves it, she's had a great school year and after the disappointment of her bday party, I have NO problem spending that on her.

But.........can I still have the glass of wine??? LOL!!!

BTW, can you go to the beach with us on 6/26-28?  PWEASE???
