Many of us (including myself) seen a little down today.  So let's pick ourselves up, brush ourselves off and answer the following question.

What is the best compliment that you have ever received?

Mine:  People used to tell me that I had beautiful eyes.  I think, lately many people say "you look great" but they don't specifically call out one particular thing.  Or some people say that they didn't recognize me.

Now tell me yours.

Great post, Lisa!!  Thanks!!!

If you're talking about the exterior, I think the time I was in an Ulta-like store and one of the saleswomen didn't believe that I had on makeup and called two other women over to "look" at me!!!  Thanks to good genes, some days (like today), I can go pretty much foundation free!!!  Pre-op, I wouldn't have wanted ANY attention called to any part of me.

If you're talking about the interior, probably my fave would be the time that someone referred to me as K's mommy, (I think she was about 3), and K said, "She's not my Mom, but I wish she was!"

Chin up sweetie!!  You get to see ME on Sunday!!!!  LOL!!!

MUAH!!

My answer is a complex one. All compliments are wonderful and I have received many more since WLS. However, the best come from those who mean the most to me.

The best compliment came from my #1 nephew when he told me how much I have made a difference in his life and how important I am to him. That coupled with the fact that he has expressed how proud he is of me and all I have accomplished.

I thought I was the only one with the Monday blues.

I remember signing up for the Costco AmEx and the lady took my old membership card, looked at the photo and said, you've lost a lot of weight, haven't you? And, that was just from a photo of my head. I had a fat head.

I would have to say mine came last week.. when my new boss was looking at our organization chart and told me that I needed to get security to send a new photo because the other one was pixelated or stretched out or something, but it looked nothing like me.

When I told her it was me and showed her a before photo she was amazed! She told me I needed to get over to security to have them take a proper photo of the new and improved me.  I told her I would as soon as my divorce is final so I can actually take claim to my name.  Now she calls me skinny.  She's about the size that I am now, but we did discover that regardless of how much we like each other's style of clothing, I'll never be able to "borrow" hers, because she is one size larger.

I go for my divorce on the 19th!!  Pete went for his on the 5th!

I think it was when I was about three months postop and I went to dinner with my
parents after church:  out Reg waitress looked at me and told me while I was always
Pretty I had a glow about me.

I still find it difficult to respond to people when they compliment me .
