3 THINGS FOR MONDAY!

Good morning Tia & all:

I know what you are talking about with kids parties.  That's why we only invite a hand full of really close friends or family and we expect NO presents.  I don't know what's wrong with people these days, not sending a present to a child's b-day party.

1.  That even though my grandkids mother is one of those "screwed up" parents.  I did not B.tch slap her this morning when I saw her. 

2.  That it is Monday.  I've been grazing at home all weekend.  Time to get back with the program.  I am 1 lb away from the 170's and I so want to be there. 

3.  I can't wait to see you all at Dave and Buster's this weekend.  I signed up for some kind of discount card on Friday and got a $10 free game play card by e-mail this morning.  So that may help my budget. 

4.  Okay, I know I used this one above, but . . . I'm just saying . . . That the girl in the office beside me is moving to an island off the coast of Venezuela and I didn't b.tch slap her when she told me.  (I'm so jealous)!!!   Oh to be young and have no responsibilities again.  (Oh wait ~ I never had no responsibilities).  Maybe if I just become senile then no one would expect anything from me.

Well, these WERE supposed to be close friends of K!  Even the second of her two BFF's didn't show, call, nothing!!  I don't get it. 

Oh, I feel your pain with the "mother figure."  It takes a lot of restraint sometimes, doesn't it???
Sometimes, I want to slap MOTY just for existing.

I'll check D&B's website for the discount card thing!  I'm looking forward to it, too!

Sorry to disappoint, but people like you and I won't EVER have the luxury of no responsibility - we're just not programmed that way!!!  SIGH.

I agree...WTF!!  I'm glad she had fun with the friends that DID show up though!!

Just a quick stop by this morning.  I gotta take up slack with one employee down!

Today, I'm grateful...

1.  For SLEEP!  I got quite a bit of it this weekend and was obviously EXHAUSTED!

2.  For my $250 insurance deductible.  The estimate for the body work on the Element is $5600...PHEW!!

3.  For benedryl.  Even though it makes me sleepy.  About twice a year I get this allergic reaction to something on my lips.  Sometimes I just get these tiny little bumps but other times (like this one) I get the bumps and swollen lips.  When I got up this morning I looked like restylane injections gone bad.  The swelling is down but all I want to do is .

I'm so jealous!!  Sleep?  WHAT is that?  I already told Mom that she gets the early morning shift with KB this coming Saturday so I can sleep in!

Thank God you don't have to get a new car - that would've been FUGLY.

Are you SURE it's an allergic reaction and not sun poisoning?  Because I've gotten sun poisoning on my lips and looked like someone had transferred Angelina Jolie's lips to MY face!!!!  I knew you were planning on spending some time in the sun this weekend, that's why I suggested that.

Hmmm...I don't think it's sun poisoning since it started on Friday evening and I didn't get out in the sun until yesterday.  I have poison ivy behind my knee (GREAT PLACE), which I clearly got from one of the dogs.  I was thinking may be that was it, but I'd think it would be outside my lips too if that was the case.  Aren't I lovely!!

Oh, WOW!!!  Is it painful?

You poor thing!!!  If you can get some Abreva (OTC cold sore ointment), maybe that would help.  I know it's not a cold sore, but it could be some version of the virus that causes them.

Well technically I hit it...AFTER she cut me off and came to abrupt stop.  The police didn't assign fault so it's up to the insurance companies to fight it out.  If it's determined that it was her fault...they would pay for everything!!

Every year, kids who RSVPed miss my son's birthday.  EVERY SINGLE YEAR!

Today, I'm grateful for:

1.  I finished two knitting projects this weekend!  :)

2.  I planted some stuff this weekend.  My catnip survived last year, so i have hope I won't kill everything this year!

3.  I got to watch two movies on Video on Demand!  :)

We've had the no-shows in the past, but NEVER to this degree!  And since it was her 13th, we just felt like it was a little special, ya know?

Oooh, you knit!!  I forgot about that!  I keep saying I want to do that, but never get around to it.  I also want to learn to make jewelry, and so far, haven't had the chance!

What did you plant?  I've SO got a brown thumb - fortunately, Mom has a green one, so she can usually resurrect anything!!!
