Mellie update
Heres the scoop...I went in to see him and yes he did remember me from the weekend phone call, so I take that part back. He really could not find anything wrong much. He did take out a little more than 1 cc out of the band and said that could have been too tight and inflaming my stomach. Otherwise he has no clue. I did feel some relief when he took it out though. Im extremely sore because I didnt take anything at all this morning for pain and it feels like ive done 100 sit ups. So not pain like I had before but soreness if that makes sense. I really did feel some relief when he emptied the band.
Anyway, he told me to take dilaudid, reglan, and prevacid for several days and see if that helps. He also wants me in a tummy binder, which marty is going to pick up as we speak. If none of these things helps then he has written me a prescription to get an barium upper GI...blech...pray these things help! He said he really really suspects that upper GI will be negative.
Oh and he gave a shout out to Candy and said you mentioned me while you were in there the last time...and then he grilled me on my internet life!

Laughing at the grilling on your internet life!!!!
Okay, so it sounds like he's trying to work with you to figure it out. Do what he says, and stay on top of it obviously. If it doesn't subside after taking the meds and wearing the binder for a couple of days, call him again.
I hate that you're in pain (not as much as you do), so I hope they can get a handle on this for you soon!
Hugs,
T
Mellie, I'm glad this seems to be helping. Some docs prime the band with a couple of ccs at surgery so it may have just been too much for you to start with. I'm pretty sure I was basically empty for the first 6 weeks. I hope the binder helps you. That's not usually something they do for lapbanders because they aren't cutting through deep muscle tissue. But I'll bet it will help keep things from moving around when you change sides and give you some relief.
I'm keeping a good thought for you.
