Exactly what IS romance to you.

For me, it can be a gentle caress against my face while he is looking into my eyes or the way he cups my face before he kisses me.

It could be a game of why I love this part of your body.... from nose to toes and everything in between.

It might even be a relaxing evening on the massage table in a room bathed in candle light and incense with a glass of my favorite Riesling.... while we exchange massages or do an IOU while the other one is completely pampered.

There are so many little things and big things.

What is romance to yoU?

anything that shows he was thinking of me when he wasn't around me. little notes, or small gifts. backrubs and compliments. doing something around the house without being asked.

Oh Nic! You got that right! Doing something around the house always warms my heart. I love coming home and finding that the dishes are done, or the vacuuming is done, even that the lawn is mowed. It brings a warmth of joy to my heart.

When I read the topic, before I got into the post, I was thinking exactly what Nic said.  I like the little things best.  I like knowing that even when I'm not around, I'm on his mind.  :)

I'm with Nic.  Anything that shows that he is listening.  A note, picking up a favorite from the store that you spoke about last week, making sure there is no tomato on your sandwich when he brings it to you, ordering something that you will eat at a restaurant, etc.  Doing something without you having to ask.

My husband called to ask me my address at work yesterday.  I gave it to him and then said, are you having flowers delivered.  He just laughed and said No.  Still don't know why he wanted it, but I'm sure it wasn't for a romantic reason.

why didn't you ask him what he needed it for?

I did and he mumbled something about his unemployment.  He has been in such a bad mood since he has become unemployed.
