3 THINGS FOR MONDAY!

Good morning!!  It is beautiful outside!!!  Gosh, the perfect day to take off!!  Sadly, I'm inside!!!  Hope everyone had a good weekend!!  Mine was good, but crazy busy, and I didn't get to relax as much as I'd hoped!!  Still, today I'm grateful for:

1.  Our trip to DC with K's class was a lot of fun!  I'd forgotten just how obnoxious and immature 12 & 13 year olds can be though!!  Once one of the girls realized some of the animal exhibits were anatomically correct, the goal became to determine if the animals were male or female!!!  LOL!!! We spent most of the time in the Museum of Natural History.  Things have certainly changed in there!  The Hope Diamond, once relegated to a backroom, now has it's own revolving display in its own antechamber.  Pretty cool!  Things - food, souvenirs, etc., were frightfully expensive, but we did okay.  Next time, I think we'll pack a lunch so we can eat outside.  I didn't this time because I didn't want to lug things around, but given the price of lunch, next time, I'll be happy to schlep!

2.  That I got a much needed nap in yesterday.  About 3 hours - and when the phone rang at 7:50 and woke me, I couldn't figure out if it was a.m. or p.m.!

3.  That B and I had a great day together on Saturday.  His bff was over for most of the day, but after he left, B and I went to Rita's (s/f tangerine for me) and to Walmart.  I did TONS, and I mean TONS, of laundry at my brother's.  He's been working so much overtime, he's only had enough time to do the bare minimum.  A conservative estimate would be 10-15 loads - washed, dried and put away!!  Pre-op, I'd never have been able to do that!!

4.  K gets inducted into the National Junior Honor Society tonight!  I'm SOOO excited for her and SOOOOO proud.  I can't wait.  I'm going to stop and buy her some flowers tonight to make her feel extra special!

So that's it for me.  I'm thinking about taking off on Friday, not sure what I want to do yet!!  I hope everyone has a great day!!  Now, tell me what's going on in your world!!

Good morning sweetie!!!  Just poking in real quick before my day gets away from me.   Have lots of things to be doing.   Juggling projects, etc.

I saw the D&B post and responded.   I'm going to try for sure to make it.   My braces go on next Monday, so I am not really sure how socialable I am going to be until I get used to them.

Mack goes out on his first adventure of the summer this Saturday when we go to Westminster.   I am excited about it right now, but I can guarantee that by the time we are halfway there, I'm going to be tired of the noise and the rough ride!

3 things????
1) Vacation was good . even though we both got sick .. sinus/allergy things that really wiped us out, and I am only now just almost shaking off
2) Another month to a 3 day weekend for July 4th ...
3) and then 2 months til Labor day and another 3 day weekend ...

do we see a trend ?????????? ... lol

Hugs, Mo

Comparison is the thief of joy!

If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished.   Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago.   I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits!   Wherever you are in your journey  ... It's ALL good!!!

A girl after my own heart with the 3 day weekends!!  I was looking at my leave balances this a.m. - I need to schedule some leave or I'm going to lose it - and that AIN'T gonna happen!!

I would love to try to make it up to CC this weekend with KB, but the first of K's two 13th bday parties is Sunday and I have some things to do for that.  Nope, no teddy bear cupcakes this year!  We're all about the "Twilight" theme!

I'm glad vacay was good; hopefully, it was a little restorative, too!

Have a great day!

Tia

Sounds like you are keeping yourself busy. Taking enough rests are very important though. I actually felt almost normal this weekend and did some much needed cleaning. When i get depressed, cleanliness goes out the window.

1. I saw a new psychiatrist saturday. Dr. Vaidjya. she used to do intake at johns hopkins. Dr. Steele begged me to go to her. Although it is literally costing me a fortune, I decided to give it a shot and so far, I'm quite impressed with her. She is taking me off the paxil and onto another type of anti depressant. not sure how the anxiety issue will play out but she said i could cal lher if i started to feel bad.

2. I finally feel sorta normal. Last week sucked really bad and I missed almost the whole week, unplanned. I see the surgeon tomorrow and hopefully the news will be good.

3. My handyman started yesterday and I really like him. we didn't get a ton done but what we did get done was worth the money I spent. I am also going to be buying new appliances for my kitchen so excited about that. By the end of the year, I want to have a house I can be proud of.

I've thought for a long time, and told you so, that you needed a new therapist.  I'm so glad that you took the plunge, and yes, it might be a lot of money, but you can't put a price on your happiness and wellbeing.  Do what you need to do for YOU, no one else!!!

I hope things turn out okay with this last surgery; I know it's wearing on you.

I was wondering how the handyman interviews had gone.  I'm glad you had good luck (so far) with that!

Hugs,

Tia

Good Morning All:

Yes it is a beautiful day -  although a little chilly during Cuddles early morning walk.

T- Tell K congrats for me tonight:  You must be so proud!

Today I am grateful for:

1.  A busy day yesterday but a productive one.  Went to early church : taught my first
solo Sunday school class then came into work for a couple hours.

2.  For my gym membership:  due to female issues I haven't been for about 10 days so I am
really looking forward to getting back to normal :  starting tonight -  My  pilates coach
is going to modify some exercises due to my shoulder but I am so happy to be going back!.

3.  That Capital One stopped someone from using my credit card # - now I'm
in the process of checking too make sure none of the others have been used
without my knowledge -  probably going to take a while.

So have a great day everyone!

So how did Sunday School go?  Did they tie you up?? LOL!!!

Thank God the charge was caught!!  Make sure you contact each of the 3 credit bureaus and post a fraud alert!!

Have a wonderful day!

Morning all!

Today I am thankful for the beautiful weekend we just had!  I was able to get outside, weed for a couple hours and then spend time dozing with the Sun God for a few hours too. :)  Yes, I know it's bad for me, but I do love the sun. Makes me feel so good and energized.

I also love the neighborhood we live in.  Yea, there are a few things that could be better, but I really do dig my neighbors. Most of us get along very well, bbq together, share tools, help each other, etc.  We were a little apprehensive when we bought the house as we are in the 'low rent" (i.e. working class) neighborhood and heard people talk down about it, but we do love it here and it's the right place for us to be.
