Ah...  Sounds pretty majorly painful to me...  Vanity or not, I am NOT going that route unless I am really desperate for relief from something.  I admit, my goal in life since WLS is to never be in a hospital again!

with the amount of rashes i get NOW I am sure I will have them severely after WLS so I plan for PS too.   I also know that PS will hurt worse than WLS.  go figure.

Powder, Powder, Powder... It is my friend :)

The pain isn't what scares me, it is the pain meds and staying awake to not deal with the crap like last night that scares me...  I suck on drugs!

Never say never. I told myself 2 years ago, I would never do plastic surgery. But, now when clothes don't quite fit right because all this skin just kinda rolls up and gets in the way.

I have a friend who had WLS a year before me and she hasn't had anything else done and she's fine with herself.

Another friend (non-WLS) who had twins and is like 4 feet tall and had so much extra stuff around her belly had a tummy tuck and said she was so surprised by how much better her clothes fit.

I went back and forth between getting my arms done or the tummy tuck, they both cost about the same and the tummy tuck won. Unless I go flapping my arms around, they're not that noticeable. But, the tummy, definitely want to be able to wear my pants without feeling uncomfortable.

I guess if I was not comfortable, I might just go for it rather than live with it... Hoping I don't have to make a decision!  I met with a friend last weekend that has surgery about a year before me, and she thinks I should have more loose skin now - hoping to never have any!!  So far It is not any more there than it was pre-op - now I know that won't stay that way, but I can keep hoping.

No chance of getting the insurance to cover any of it?  Who is doing your surgery?

Don't know yet. I'll be going through my surgeon's office but my husband's new insurance hasn't kicked in yet.
