3 THINGS FOR THURSDAY
Good morning!! UGH!! This humidity just isn't liking my hair!!! The a/c in our building is broken (again), and now I hear they won't be fixing it because there's no money. Hmmmm........should be a pleasant summer with me - NOT!!!! I've got tons to do today, so I'm not SURE how much I'll be on.
Today, I'm grateful for:
1. Yesterday's shopping trip was a SUCCESS!!! Softball was cancelled at the last minute - thank God!!! I picked up K (I was SO dreading this), and we went to Dots - hopefully, that'll be the LAST time I EVER have to set foot in THERE!! EWWWW!!! For one thing, the music was just BA-BOOMING, I couldn't even hear myself think!!!! Most of the stuff was FUGLY, but somewhere in the jam-packed rounders, we found a nice top that (GASP) K liked!!!! They didn't have any black skirts, so we went to Fashion Bug where, after trying on 10-15 pieces, we went with the first black skirt K tried on!! While she was changing, I noticed (whispering) BOOOOOOBS!!! OMG!! WHERE did they come from?????? So, she GRUDGINGLY allowed herself to be fitted (giving me the hairy eyeball the entire time), and we got two new bras, too. Then, on to Payless, where she found a cute pair of sandals with a wedge heel!!!! It took us about 2.5 hours, but it's a REALLY nice outfit. She thanked me profusely, as did my brother, but it was all golden when she tried the outfit on for her Daddy. The look on his face when he realized there were BOOOOBS was hilarious!!! He looked at me as if, "I didn't tell you to buy THEM!!!" lol She usually wears t-shirts, which kind of conceal things, but there's just no concealing them now!!!!! His discomfort was actually pretty entertaining!!!
2. Today is my Friday. K and I and her 7th grade class are headed to DC tomorrow. We're wearing matching purple t-shirts, too! lol
3. A good haircut!!! I don't know if it's the weather or not, but my hair's just been uncooperative this week, telling me it's time. I'm SO tempted to tell him to just cut it short, but I know I won't. I'll want it long enough so I can still put it up. But I'm thinking MAYBE an inch. It'll grow back, right? RIGHT?????
Okay, so everyone have a great day!!!!
Hugs,
Tia

Tia,
It will grow back...
I am gonna get rid of what I have, just looking for the right time and place... I have been told of someone names Garrett here in York that might just be what my hair needs...
I did FINALLY find something that has stopped my hair from feeling like straw! I am a buzz agent (buzzagent.com) and one of the products we tried out was John Frieda's Root Awakening Shampoo and Conditioner... This stuff is my savior!!! And it makes my head slightly tingle when I wash my hair... *grins*
Thinks for Thursday...
1. Finally finding hair products to fix my issues from surgery.
2. Eating out... I have been exhausted all week from overtime at work, and this has been making my life a bit easier...
3. Measuring tapes! I am down 25 inches since surgery! I so need to go weigh in though!

My 3 things for today:
1. Self-awareness.
2. That I am in much better health than this time last year.
3. That my husband lost his job yesterday, but I still have mine.
4. For all the friends that I have made during this WLS process. Without them, I would be totally lost.
