I hear ya!!  Actually, even once he moves to mushies, he might find that he doesn't actually WANT them!!  It'll be interesting to see!!!

For me, each stage got old pretty quickly, and I wrote down each phase on my calendar!  Who would've ever thought I'd be celebrating pureed foods!!!  LOL!!!

Lol thats what he said...who would have ever thought pureed would look so darn good...I dont know Im hungry but im really scared to move on to pureed and solids. Liquids go through easy but im scared to death of getting something stuck even though I know there is no fluid in the band yet...

I know - it IS a little frightening.  The best tip I can give you is to write down what you try and your reaction to it.  If it doesn't work, give it a couple of weeks and try it again.  And I would advise AGAINST trying a new food or stage in public - nothing like getting sick AWAY from home!!!

LOL!!!  I remember how hungry I thought I was at the end of the first week and couldn't wait for pureed.  When I got there, it was just okay, no big deal....but I forged ahead and kept to the rules.  Chances are, nothing will get stuck, chew, chew, chew, and you'll do great.

I so love the cheddar cheese soup - and the cream of shrimp soup - they are delicious.  I'm actually looking forward to having them next week when I'm on the two day liquid requirement (which is after each adjustment)

I like the broth as long as I season it my way - and onion powder is awesome for turning bland beef broth into a french onion flavor.

Okay, another staple for me was s/f creamsicles and fudgesicles.  But make sure that you look for the sugar free ones.  These are what kept me going through the first few weeks.  The soft food stage for me wasn't good either.  Got the "foamies" alot, but always knew I could rely on these frozen treats.

Good luck.
