6 month post-op appointment (7 1/2 months out)

I missed my 6 month appointment with the surgeon's office last month because of a flat tire on the way to the appointment.  You know how they say that everything happens for a reason...I believe that in this case.  I started having pain/cramping on Monday and it's steadily gotten worse to the point that eating and drinking make it worse.  It's still there when I'm not eating or drinking and I can feel it when lying on my side.  At first Dr. Schweitzer's Nurse Practitioner, Pat, was just gonig to prescribe carafate and protonix for a possible ulcer or gastritis.  But when I told her that there wasn't any burning sensation, just cramping, she threw in a prescription for a Gall Bladder ultrasound.  WOOHOO...not!  So tomorrow morning I go for that.  To say that I really hope that it's not the Gall Bladder is an understatement!  I really don't want to have surgery again so soon!  If I'd had the original appointmenet in April I would have had to go back in to see them this week.  Thank God for small favors!

Everything else is GREAT!  All my labs looked good, my blood pressure was great, I'm down 88 lbs, and aside from the current issue, I'm feeling great!  Just wish I'd done it sooner!

We'll have hiccups along the way - I'm just glad that Tia won't have to round all of up to tell someone to go the hospital this time!  Let us know how the ultrasound goes!
