My first gut thought, soy crisps also.  Then I've been eating beef jerky when I need to chew.  You don't get the cruch factor but man that jaw is chewing for quite awhile!    It's really satisfying to me as a snack.

Thank you.... however for me it's not the chew but the crunch. I will def give soy crisps a try.  I'm wondering how bad CheddAirs are for us.

Thanks Nessa. It's just me fighting what I thought was formerly my biggest fear: failure. I guess I haven't overcome that quite yet.

*raises hand* I too am fighting the blasted carb monster. I *fool* myself by eating whole wheat ritz or wheat thins with peanut butter or cheese but when it comes down to it, its still a cracker :-(

My weight loss has SLOWWWWED down alot and I was stuck for like the last 3 weeks, I know its due to improper eating. I still have SO FAR to go with my weight loss and sometimes I fear I have sabatoged myself by not taking full advantage of my first 6 month window. So I know the "funk" you are talking about. It scares me that I may stop losing here and still be considered obese!

I have really increased my intensity of my workouts so I am hoping that will help me........

Maybe while I'm gone this weekend, I'll have hubby clean out the kitchen for me and rid me of the nasties hiding in my cupboards taunting and teasing me to let them come out and play.

I still am eating things that I had purchased before my surgery!  (boxed of course).

At least I don't seem to be buying them recently so maybe that is a plus.

Good luck to you April.. I hope we can all find a way to fight these demons of evil!

Ren Love the cartoon. We all are struggling with the carb monster. I talked to my nut and she told me about the protein bars like Tia was talking about. She also said I could try 7 peanut butter filled pretzels. She said I could get them at Trader Joes and I got some last night. They were good. I love the crunch and the peanut butter. Don't stay away we need all the advice and input we can get. We are all in the same boat and we cant let it sink...
