I think I found something to replace my Diet Coke

Well for a while atleast, Crystal light ice tea, peach flavor, the only problem is it is 98% caffine free, so that doesn't do anything for my caffine fix. I am starting to wean myself off the Diet Coke.

4C Totally Light Tea2Go, Red Tea w/Peach is also good. It is completely caffeine free, which is  a good thing!

Tom -

Are you trying to wean yourself off the Diet Coke because of the carbonation or are you quitting caffeine altogether?  If you're quitting caffeine, have you told your wife?  She may want to come live with one of us!!  LOL!!!

Hmmm.....all or nothing, huh??  LOL!!!  Well, once you're post-op, if you're a coffee drinker, you'll be able (once you're cleared by your doctor), to have decaf coffee and/or teas at first.

Again, depending upon the surgeon, they may or may not tell you no carbonation - ever.

Frankly, most of us are so busy trying to get in water that there's not a lot of room for anything else!!

Crystal Light makes tons of flavors and Walmart has their own brand of it - again, available in lots of flavors.  The s/f apple is my personal drug of choice!  When I find it, I usually buy every box they have.

Hang in there!  It'll be worth it!!!

Tom:

That was the hardest thing that I had to do pre-surgery.  Diet Cherry Pepsi, was the choice of my addiction.  Good luck!!!  It's better to feel bad now, weaning off of the caffeine prior to surgery that putting that on top of the aches and pains that come immediately after surgery.

Good luck!
