Ummm............I'm still jonesing for another taste of Al Pacino............the cafe, NOT the actor. Although I WOULD let him eat s/f cookies in my bed!!!

Wedding plans are coming along. Dress and accessories are ordered, waiting for the caterer to give me a price list and then set up a tasting... cake tasting at Sugar Bakers in early June... will do some bridesmaid dress shopping soon... so it's coming along pretty well, I'd say.

O M G!!! I screeched to a halt at Sugar Baker's!!! Oh, they have the BEST cakes - bar none! Better than Charm City, Cake Love, etc., but just as pricey!! But you only go round once, huh? Or at least let's hope so!!!!!

I think I've tasted a bite of a Sugar Baker's cake long ago... and I recall it being delish! I know they are pricey, but I only need a small cake to feed about 60 people for our small reception. So many a small, two tier cake? We're saving a ton of money in other areas, so my mom will just have to get over it. I hope the cake tasting woo's her over and she just glazes over the price tag LOL. And yes, this merry-go-round is only going around once

Saw the board outing post for June 14th. Not sure if we can make it, but I'll do my best. Sundays are usually spent with my future in-law's and having dinner with them, so I'll see what we can do. My weekends between now and late June seem shot already

I agree!!! The cake I had from there was Neopolitan - chocolate cake with mocha and vanilla with strawberry (I think), and of course, it was all layered and pretty! And the French buttercream frosting was DI-VINE!!!
I had a standard yellow cake for my wedding cake and I've vowed that if I EVER do it again, it'll be what *I* want next time!
Make sure you have a small top tier so you can freeze it for your first anniversary for just the two of you!
