LOL!  if the BB & B doesn't have it - we can suggest it as a product offering LOL!

I didn't want to be all loud and announce anything because I wasn't sure if it was a private thing for you.  So, I sort of Psst, Psst, and Psst - and stood my ground until you got what I meant.  LOL

Three things for today....

1. Family.  I have a little cousin in a crisis (november wedding planned and her finace moved out of their (less than 6 months old) house they bought last Thursday.  They are still officially engaged, but I am thankful she has her family to rely on right now.  Although if her wedding is off, my weekend of shower planning and work from last weekend was exhausting and expensive for nothing!

2. Life!  I have been able to have more and more of one since surgery and I am loving it!  I have a pampered chef party to attend on Saturday and am hoping to be a vendor at a craft fair with Wildtree on Sunday!

3. Telephones!  They give me the constant contact with friends and family that I need to get through each week!

Tia, I wish I could be someone's guinea pig *grins*  if I don't cook, my house doesn't eat!  Let us know how your guinea pigs like your recipes and then share them if they work well for WLS peoples - I am bored with my staples we have been eating!

Hi Angie!!!

Oh, your poor cousin - men are...........!  I'm sorry for you that you went through everything that you did, but even more sorry for her - she must be devastated.

You'll be amazed at how much living you'll be able to do!!!  I see lots of wow moments in your future!!

The two recipes I'm going to try aren't exactly wls friendly, but I'm thinking they could be altered.  I'll let you know.  I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to cook and experiment.  PM a list of your family's likes/dislikes and I'll see what I can come up with.  It helps that my brother and Kaity will eat anything I put in front of them, but B's another story!!  That boy is a junk food junkie!!  And weighs all of about 65 pounds!!!!  It doesn't appear, thank God, that he inherited MY fat genes!!!

Have a wonderful day!

Tia

She is devastated.  And he promised to come home finally last night, and then told her he was so sick at his stomach from trying to come home and visit their dogs at lunch that he thought he needed a few more days.  (She is a teacher, he KNEW she wasn't going to be home) but the sad thing is, he hasn't even talked to his family and is avoiding EVERYONE, not just her...

She is really worried about him and is making herself sick.  I just hope they work it out!

I admit, alot of what I cook isn't WLS friendly and I just adapt it to me.... Such as last night we had bangers (British style sausage), fries and baked beans.  I ate only a piece of sausage and baked beans...  Sunday we had turkey, corn, green beans, mashed potatoes, stuffing and salad at my grandma's... I had turkey, green beans and a bite of stuffing...  I have been making my life easier by just picking and choosing at dinner since the rest of the day I make absolutely sure I get my 50 grams of protein in!  I am having trouble consistently hitting the 1000 calorie a day goal still.... and of course my fluids aren't quite where they should be...

Hubby is PICKY!!!  he will eat any meat except pork roast or pork chops, if it has NO seasoning on it!  Weirdo...  He also eats only green beans, cooked carrots and peas for veggies.  Although in his eyes potatoes are a veggie.  He won't do pasta, or rice, so luckily those are issues I can avoid at home totally.   We do a whole lot of British style adapted by Angie meals in our house!  I can make Yorkshire puddings to rival any Brit! ;)

I even tried Chinese food on Monday!  I went out with my Grandma and Great Aunt... I ordered chicken in almonds and ate about a third of the chicken soup skipping the broth as much as I could to get in the protein and then a few almonds, pieces of chicken, peas and mushrooms.  I admit I left over 3/4 of the "meat and veggie" stuff, and all the rice, as well as the egg roll, but it made a great lunch for my other Great Aunt who couldn't come with us!

I am babbling!  I think it is a way to avoid getting in my truck to drive to work!

Angie, I so enjoy hearing your happy stories and I know there are even more to come. Sorry to hear about the problems your cousin is facing. Sounds like she has a good support system no matter what happens.

1. Grateful for the scale not moving up. Last month has been crazy with a capital K. Finally, asked for a leave of absence from BBB so I can get things straightened at home and maybe start the gym again.

2. McDonald's McCafe Latte. Love them and they're half the price of a Starbucks drink.

3. Distance between my sister and I right now. Physical distance. Because otherwise, she'd be dead by now. She flew to Iran yesterday and didn't call/email after she landed for 14 hours. My husband started looking up CNN for news of hi-jacke dplanes; that's how worried we got.

I feel your #1, Sylvie.  Glad you're taking the time to do what you need to do.

I love the McCafe's too - but I hate the customer service that seems rampant at ALL McDonald's.

I read your FB yesterday, figured it was your sister, and wondered if she's going to suffer the wrath of Sylvie!!!!!  I'm glad she's safe - at least until you get your hands on her!!!

Have a great day!

Wow Sylvie! I don't blame you for being worried about your sister. Did she say how long she expects to be gone. I hope not too long. Sending good thoughts!
