I figured I'd get started, ain't no telling where Tia is - prolly at the Starbucks getting her java on!

1.  My semester is finally over.  I got 2 As and a C - I do not know if the C is final end all be all, until I hear from the chairperson.  I redid a case analysis - thinking I had it right - and for some reason I did not do well with it.  SIGH.

2.  I'm just glad I got 2 As - it coulda been worse!  The C was destined to be worse too......but hopefully it stays at C and doesn't drop, or that it goes up to a B, which would be a lifesaver!

3.  I had the energy to run around in 3 different malls last night dropping off job applications.  I am looking for evening and weekend work for the summer.  I went through Glen Burnie Mall, Marley Station Mall, and Arundel Mills.  Arundel Mills is huge!  LOL

4.  I'm glad to be coming back to the OH board.  I missed it and the great people who were my cheering crowd.

Tia GENERALLY only gets SB when she has a gift card!!!  This a.m., and most, it's DD!!  Traffic was bad, so I'm in late.

I'm SO happy to see you!!!  I'm glad your semester is over - try not to stress too much over the "C."  Remember a "C" is average, and we know you're anything but!

So you've never been to Arundel Mills?  Yeah, it's big, but at least it's easier to navigate through than Towsontown!!!  I love the stores there, but HATE that mall!

Today, I'm grateful for:

1.  Facebook - I've reconnected with my childhood best friends - most of us were friends all the way through high school, having grown up in the same huge neighborhood.  This a.m., I heard from the daughter of one of my bff's - the daughter is 23 and a mother herself!!!  YIKES!!  I'm old!!  WAAAH!!!

2.  That Mom's having a blast in SC!!  Every day, she calls and tells me stories of the massive meals her cousin is fixing them!  O M G!!  It's a wls patient's worst nightmare, and honestly, other than the desserts (surprise, surprise), the sheer volume doesn't even appeal to me!  Lunch is their biggest meal, and so far, it's consisted of (every day) two different meats, several sides (mostly starches and greens), assorted desserts, biscuits and cornbread.  UGH!!!  Fortunately, they're doing a lot of walking, so I guess they're walking SOME of it off.  They've taken some beautiful pics and have plans to tour a plantation or two.  They may also get over to Savannah to eat at The Lady & Sons (Paula Deen's restaurant).  Paul's mine and Mom's hero!!!!  LOL!!!  Mom has done so much for me (us) over the years, I'm happy she was able to go.

3.  Dad's doing well (despite his best efforts to the contrary)!  He's been helping me pick up the slack while Mom's gone, and helping out a lot with KB, since we have a band concert tonight and one again tomorrow night, my brother's been working massive amounts of overtime, MOTY is "busy," and B needs an allergy shot.  Dad's been running his lil legs off and today, has to wait for Home Depot to deliver Gary's new fridge.  WHEW!!  We're busy people!!  And thank God we help each other out, or half of it wouldn't get done!!!!

Have a great day!!!!

Hugs,

Tia

I'm okay with the C - the only thing I'm not okay with is that I have to pay my job back for that C.  Graduate level courses, they expect an A or a B; if you get anything less, break out the checkbook.  Well, let me tell you hunny - my checkbook has a few pennies in it.  Worst case scenario, I'll just have to check with some people to see if they would give me cash in exchange for gift cards that I can get on my credit accounts at several places that I have accounts at.  I have accounts with Target, JC Penneys, Macy's, Sears, and Kay.

I don't know how much time I will have to pay my job back for the class - and if they say - two weeks, I'd be back at the malls getting whatever gift cards people want.  SIGH.  I always seem to have a plan B eh?  LOL

Good morning Maryland:

1.  That tomorrow is my 1 year surgi-versary.

2.  That the work boats on the Choptank river were beautiful this morning.

3.  That I brought my walking shoes so that I can go out at lunchtime to get some exercise.

4.  That I have a wonderful surgeon that cares about my success!!

5.  That I got a kick-in-the-pants yesterday, so that I can get back on track.

Girl.  I just blogged about it.  It was not a happy day in Dr. K world.  He was disappointed and I was too.  I knew it wasn't going to be good, but I knew in order to get back on the right track, it had to happen.

I just don't want to be a failure.  Some people would say that I am not, but I never want to go back to 300 lbs+ or even 200 lbs+ at this time.

He has concern that I might not be successful in keeping the weight off.

Okay, trust me, I get it.  I guess I'm considered a "failure," too, but you know what?  I pulled out a pic of me this a.m. when I was looking for something and O M G!!!  I was ginormous - and yes, I STILL think I am, but I was ginormouser!!  The pic was at Christmas, and I was wearing a shirt I'd bought at Catherine's, which was the only place I could shop.  Of course, hair, nails and makeup were done, but still...............!

Anyway, my long drawn out point is that surgeon's medical expertise aside, I'm astounded each and every time I see you.  You look freaking amazing and I know you feel 100% better.

It's funny - the other night at dinner, I was telling Aaron how, when I look at all of you, I don't see ANY excess weight - all I see are the friends I love.  Schmaltzy, I know, but *I* love the inside Lisa!!!

Do what you need to do to be happy with yourself and to be as healthy as you can.  You CAN do it!

MUCH, MUCH, MUCH LOVE!!

Thanks Girl:

That's why I love friends, they don't see the fat.  I heard Dr. K saying yesterday to someone else, "don't listen to anyone else.  I'm the doctor" as he told another woman that her goal is between 115 and 140 lbs.  I need to so pay attention to that.  Even through my tears on the way home last night as I called my husband he said "you don't need to loose any more weight."  I know in my heart that I do.  I know where I am now and I know how easily that it can become out of hand.  I never want to go back there again.  My weight has always held me back from everything that I have every wanted out of life and at 44 years old, I refuse to let it hold me back any more.

Now I'll step down from my soapbox with my fist clenched as I say "as God is my witness."  LOL!  I really shouldn't be this dramatic this early in the morning.

I love you all here and for the newbies, I'm really NOT crazy.

Girl!  You have done GREAT GREAT GREAT!!!  I don't know how any doctor "expects" someone to be at goal in a year.  You still have at least 6-12 months to lose, so don't distress!

We love ya!
