 Hi guys,
I had my DS a year and a half ago and I did great I lost 75 pounds.  Now things have been really slow.  I have about 20 pounds to get to goal.  I got a Wii fit and have been excercizing and really watching the carbs. So, the past three weeks I lost a total of five pounds, which I was excited over, now the scale tells me I gained 3 back this week.  UUUGGGG!!

Any advice?  It is so frustrating!  I just want to reach goal!

Nessa has a good question!  Here's another one - with all the exercising you've been doing, do you think you're gaining muscle and not fat?  If so, that's great.  I'd rather gain weight in muscle than fat!

You're doing great!  Don't despair!

If you are exercising intensely maybe you are underconsuming and are extremely caloric deficient. I know with the DS you have greater malabsorption than with RNY so have you tried tracking your food and seeing how many calories and grams of protein you were getting in? I would say try upping and lower your calories, track it closely and see what works for you.

Good luck!

 Hi April,
That is a possibility,  I know that I do get 90-100 grams of protein but usually it is in the form of a protein shake.  Maybe I am not getting enough calories.  I will play around with the calories this week and see what happens and go from there!

Thank you for your advice!

Hi Amy, it's good to see you again!!!  That's pretty sad, too, considering we live close!!!

Everyone has given you some good info, so the only thing I have to add is check your water intake.  It's important to drink at LEAST 64 oz., but you really should strive for me.

75 pounds is AWESOME!!!!!!

Hugs,

Tia

 Hi Tia!
I know!!!  We live really close and I have never met you!!!  And yes, that is my fault for not coming to any of the get togethers!  I promise to be at one soon!!  Anything going on next weekend?  My hubby is leaving for the weekend, so I will not have anything to do.

You know, my water intake is def not at 64 ounces a day!  I know I am getting less than that.  I wil get on top of that today!  Being a teacher I run around all day and then finally realize at 3 i am thirsty and hungry.  I got to plan the day better.

Thank you for the encouragement!!!
Hugs back

Hey! I was just wondering if you were using the Fit as your scale?

I noticed that mine is kinda off. Its about 5lbs off from my regular scale and I can fluctuate a couple pounds everyday on the Fit board.

Just a suggestion!
