OMG the rabbit died and I'm pregnant!  LOL  Just kidding

Dr. K said that all my levels were good except for B6.....I'm not sure what B6 does but i can at least get it over the counter......so that adds another pill to my regiment.  he was a bit disappointed that i wasn't at goal.......well what can i do about that?  With what's been going on with me lately it's a wonder I even have the resolve to get out of bed LOL  he said that i'll probably lose another 10 to 15 pounds this year and I have a window of about 6 more months to keep losing......now he said that the 10 - 15 pounds on the second year is for the normal to lightweight obese people.......I could lose another 40 pounds when it's all said and done....if i can do that this year then that will give me a cushion of 20 pounds and it will put me 20 pounds below goal.  i think that's reasonable as soon as i can get my leg fixed up I'll be back on the marathon training provided i don't knock myself out from the extra skin LOL

Well you know after I told him everything that i have been through this year, he kinda settled down but still pushed to get this last 40 pounds off.  He does know that i'm carrying around extra fluid......and he actually understands that the cellulitis that I had set off the edema.....before I had the cellulitis, the edema was pretty much gone.

Okay, now I'm scared.  My appointment is Monday and I'm not at goal either.  Oh well, I guess I'll stand up and take my lumps too!!!  I still think you are doing great!!!!  Wish me luck!

Aaron,

I think you have done an awesome job.  Reading your posts is an inspiration to me.  I had my surgery in February and when i have questions or get confused or down I read through some of the old stuff you have posted and feel much better.  Dr. K is a great doctor but losing weight is hard and we all struggle I think you deserve a pat on teh back for all you have lost.  I am sure he will be upset with me at my 3 month appointment but we can only do what we can.  You seem to give everything you have to your journey.

I just wanted to let you know that I think you have done a great job.

Thank so much Annie and another Dr. K Alumnus!  :)  You know he is hard on us but he only does it because he cares...but then again, he is a very busy guy in the office and pretty much just looks at numbers and I get the feeling that he goes through the motions but doesn't really listen to you becuase he has to see SO MANY PEOPLE.  That place is a madhouse LOL  They took my measurements this time and I have lost 30" off my waist!  just like i told one of my other friends, if i don't lose another pound nor gain anything back, I will be a happy camper...it will have to be HIM who has to deal with a perceived "failed" surgery :)

Hmmm... should I be calling the national enquirer???

Congrats on being where you are!!  Those who don't need to lose the weight can easily say "You Need to..."  Put them in our shoes and where would they be?

I lost only 3lbs in the past 2 weeks, so I am at a stall and my appt wasn't so good... but Dr. A is still happy with my progress, so all is going as planned!

I can only hope to be where you are in regards to goal in 10 more months for my one year appt!
