I am so frustrated..I have been waiting for surgery approval since the beginning on this month.! Everytime the doctors office calls...it seems the insurance company needs one more thing. Working full time...calling all kinds of Doctors offices, making appointment, faxing documents, Resubmitting documents that were lost...urgh!!! I was hoping to get surgery by early spring so that I could at least feel comfortable in a bathing suit by late summer....at this rate I will never get there...sorry just had to vent...I know you all would understand my frustrations...thanks for listening.

I understand how you feel, but just remember all the frustration you feel now will be worth it once you get approval and have your surgery.  Stay positive and best of luck.

Hi Kris, it's good to see you!  I know how terribly frustrating this must be.  I'm sure you're documenting any phone calls you make - sometimes that can make the difference in approval.

Have you only called the surgeon's office?  If so, I think I'd be calling the insurance company, too - just to make sure everyone's on the same sheet of music!

Good luck and keep us posted!

I agree with Tia.....call the insurance company and demand answers. It will all work out!!!

Good luck with everything. By the end of it, you won't remember this part of it hopefully :)

canter, stay positive! Call the insurance copy and fax all the paperwork yourself if you have to. This is a very long process. I feel ya!! It'll all be worth it.  I was hoping for early spring myself, but things don't always work as fast as you want them to... You just have to keep the big picture in mind. :)

Yep thats what they do to you. You have to jump through so many hoops for them that it ain'tfunny. I almost gave up but I pushed on and finally got done. It was all worth it so hang in there and you call the insurance company instead of your doc you will get more answers and don't be afraid to tell them how disappointed you are in having to wait so long for approval. So find out first hand what they need from you because the doc's office doesn't always do things right either.
