Ugh, Mercedes, I feel your pain!! Well, not right now, but I've been there before.  Hope you get some relief from the pain.

Owing your car free and clear is a big WOO-HOO!!!  I think we should have a party!!!!  LOL!!!

Have a great day & feel better!

Today...  I have decided to turn my grumps into positives.

1.  That I have a truck and it was NOT the one that kept me sitting in traffic for 3 hours last night.  And that the truck that caught fire did not cause anyone to be injured in the accident.

2.  That it is Thursday and the weekend is only a day away - even if rain is going to ruin the wine festival.

3.  That work is picking up here...  This means full time work for all of my other staff members here, even if it means more work for me to do in the same number of hours!

Grump - out of the dozen employees here, one happens to be in Mexico until tonight.  What are the chances??? This is the first time anyone here has gone there EVER!  I was forced to buy surgical masks for all for next week - ugh!

Good afternoon!!!

Today, I am grateful:

1.  That even though my parents don't understand why I moved, that they still love and support me.

2.  For having such a great support system that I know will be right there with me every step of the way.

3.  That I only have 12 days left until my surgery!  I'm excited and scared all at the same time!  I keep asking myself am I going to be able to do this, but I know deep down that everything is going to be ok.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Hi Beck!!!

You know, last night I was checking my texts and saw one from you!!  I have NO idea how I missed that, and I apologize!!

I have your surgery marked on my calendar and I was hoping to come up that night to see you, but my Dad's having some surgery the day before, so I'm not sure if I'll be able to.  Just make sure your Mom or whomever is going to be with you calls me so I can update the board.

Are you going to have any "last suppers?"  I know you've waited SO long for this - I'm so glad it's finally here for you.

To answer your question, "Yes!!!  You can do this!!  For yourself and for Hunter."  I have 100% faith in you!

We'll talk before your surgery, so just hang in there!

Hi Tia,

It's ok, I figured you were busy and would get back to me when you could.

I hope your dad's surgery goes well, what is he having done?  I will def have Rigel calls you with updates.

As for "last suppers", there are 3 things that I want to have before the 12th...  1. my homemade lasagna, 2.  a nice juicy steak, and 3.  a big slice of cheesecake.  However, I wonder if I'm just torturing myself if I eat any of it lol.

My re-birthday and my actual birthday are only going to be 12 days apart.  This is the best Mother's Day and Birthday Present I have ever given myself.

The job interview I went to on Monday went great, and she is supposed to contact me next week to come in for a second interview.  I also have another interview tomorrow with The Arc of Howard County.  Hopefully, I will find something soon that is ok with me being able to start on June 1st.

Give me a call when you get a chance.

LY,

Thanks, love!!!  I'll call you over the weekend.

Dad's having an angiogram/angioplasty of a renal artery - it was unblocked last year and has reblocked, so they'll try to fix it again.

As far as last suppers, we've all done them, but let me allay some of your fears by telling you that post-op, you'll be able to eat lasagna, steak and cheesecake again - with, of course, modifications in size.  You may not even want those things post-op; it's hard to tell.

Just take it one step at a time.  Make sure you stock up on water, Crystal Light, s/f popsicles, s/f jello and pudding and samples of protein shakes.

That's great news about the job interviews!  Crossing my fingers for you!

Give Hunter a smooch for me!  I hope he's doing okay with the changes in the weather!

I will keep your dad in my thoughts and prayers.

Hunter is doing better now that we put the air conditioners in.  With all the pollen it was horrible for him at first.  He is spending a few days with my parents so I can get all of my pre-op stuff done.  He will be home on sunday, and I will def give him a smooch from you.

Monday, I am having a follow up EGD done to make sure my stomach ulcers are healed for my surgery, and right after that I have to have a doppler study on my legs just to make sure there are no blood clots.  The past two weeks have been a whirlwind lol.

Talk to you soon,
Becki
