Help
Hello, I agree I am trying to lose as much weight as I can before I even attempt surgery of any kind. I went to a nut and am on her food plan. I am not eating breads, pastas or sugars. I have lost about 20 pounds in total. I would try to adapt to the eating plan you will have after surgery. It might be easier for you. I also know that I have spoke to many people who did not lose much weight at all. My PCP told me she has many patients who dont lose any weight prior to WLS. I think I would try to talk to my doc or their nut for xtra help or advice. We are always here for you too... Just my thoughts hope it helps..

My pre-op diet consisted of:
Atkins or other low-carb, high protein drink for breakfast
Weigh****chers, Lean Cuisine or Healthy Choice meal and salad/or veggies for lunch
High protein dinner, again with salad or veggies for dinner
If I felt the need to snack, it was suggested that I do almonds or string cheese, and if I wanted sweets, I ate s/f popsicles
LOTS of water, too!
Hope this helps,
Tia
