Thanks so much!

About 9 weeks out I had a stricture and then a few months ago I ended up back in the hospital. It seems as if my scar tissue got aggravated and pushed my intestines up and out of place. But THANK GOD they worked themselved back into place so no surgery was required but OH MY it was painful!!

oh ok... stricture i had heard about... i tend to scar so i'm betting this is a potential problem for me... as for the other problem, so glad surgery was not needed.

i often see folks who had bad experiences try to talk folks out of WLS but I see th bulk of folks who even with problems would still do it.

I've tried to research the problems too but those that are anti WLS tend to see every problem you have no matter how far out as related to WLS.....

A stricture is actually one of those wierd things that you cant really prevent nor does it really depend on your surgeons skill. For some people your body just heals "to well" an mine did. The new arificial hole your surgeon creates to connect your pouch to your bowel he brings up is well ariticial and sometimes in cases your body heals that closed. It wasnt painful I just had unbearable nausea and couldnt keep anything down. It was fixed very easily through and EGD and I was back to my old self in days after I got rehydrated!

You have NO IDEA how much my life has regained "normalcy" because of this surgery so even through all these bumps I am SO thankful for this tool and the new life it has given me.
