OT - Goals For This Summer
Seems a little quiet here today! The weather is inspiring me to plan and think about the things I want to accomplish this summer. it is a mixture of things that are WLS related, fun, and personal. Sometimes they say that sharing your goals and making them public makes them more real and adds some obligation for follow through. While I may not accomplish them all, I want to put them out there for myself as something to shoot for.

My Goals for This Spring/Summer (so far)

1 - Lose 20 pounds from where I am today! I have already started keeping a daily food diary again to try and reel in the struggles I have been having and make myself more accountable. I need to find some other ideas that will work for me.
2 - Increase my outdoor activities.
* I started kayaking last year. I want to do this some more and take a class on how to right myself in case I overturn.I would like to go kayaking at least 3 times this summer, more if my schedule will allow.
* I want to try bicycling. I am not sure if my knees will handle it, but my brother has a bike. So I can find out for no cost. I think it would be fun to be able to cycle the NCR trail or something like that.
* Go for an outdoor walk at least once a week.
3 - Improve my exercise options by getting a used treadmill for home. I have been talking about this forever. It is time to make this happen.
4 - Go to another amusement park at least once this summer. Now that I know I can do the rides, I want to do it again. I have already mentioned this to my nephew. We need to plan something.
5 - Build a contingency plan for better financial security
* Update my resume, just in case.
* Determine what I really want to do next.
* Re-evaluate my budget and come up with a plan to build my savings.
* Analyze my current expenses for opportunities to improve the rates, find alternatives, and/or eliminate some of them.
6 - Plan a trip to visit my family in Indiana.
7 - Participate in as many Md Board OH activities as I can. So far, I am
* Going to the Ocean - Girls weekend in DE
* American Dancer Society Relay For Life (This one should help with goal 1 and 2.)
* If there is an event that includes dancing, try it (even though I am deathly afraid I will look stupid because I know I am not graceful or coordinated).
8 - Schedule and get my mammogram done.

Great Post idea: and many of mine are similar to yours.
1. Lose 40 Lbs
2. Get my mammogram and my ablation done: I did call about these now I just
have to wait for return calls LOL
3. Go to another amusement park
4. Get back to exercise at the gym/ and if I can not get there one day use my Wiifit .
5. Get together with OH friends whenever possible.
I know that if I don't show up at the gym when you expect to see me you check up on me
so yes we definatly help each other LOL - I feel like I am letting myself down when I don't
go and knowing you and Stacia keep tabs on me sometimes gets me there when I really don't want to go LOL
And as far as the amusement park : maybe we can get down to the boardwalk
at some point during the beach weekend : not a lot of rides but I know they have a few:
Plus Kathy has never been to OC and I told her I we could check it out
when we go to Delaware.

1} Surgery June 26th.......so re-coop & start losing & begin my new life!
2} Go to an amusement park too!
3} Begin looking for a new job.......good luck huh?
4} Spend more time outside.....since we have moved & have this beautiful pond out back, that shouldnt be a problem!
5} Plan & book our winter cruise!

No Matter How I May Change, I Will Still Be ME!!!!
1. Go to 6 Flags with my children and enjoy myself.
2. Going to Vegas in August.....and I won't need a seat belt extension.
3. Ride my bike more without my knees cracking! Ouch...that hurts!
4. Get out more! I have spent most of my 30's in the house!

1.) Take Spanish lessons.
2.) Learn to Salsa Dance.
3.) Go on a least one hike.
4.) Take a day trip to Washington, DC to visit the monuments and museums (I haven't visited the Smithsonian since I was a kid).
