No Internet

Hey everyone :  Just want to wish everyone a happy weekend:
I have NO INTERNET at home unless some miracle occurs when
I fight with comcast tonight -- modem went bad last weekend and
I swaped it for a good one :  now I can not get the  d**n thing working .
My brother ( 20+ years spent working with computers) could not do anything with it
yesterday - so tonight I am going to try and get them to agree to come out to the house next
week and install it -  wish me luck becuase I'm sure it will take forever to
get them to agree to do that.

I hate Comcast (and I do not use that word often) - Good Luck!

Do you have access to Verizon FiOS service for your internet and TV in your area?   Suggest to Comcast that MAYBE Verizon would be happy to provide your services and you wouldn't have a need for them any more????   We have FiOS for our internet and it's great.   If we didn't have the satellite dish I wouldn't hesitate to do FiOS for our TV as well.  Everyone I know who has it says the quality is far superior to cable.

I check periodically (just checked again after I saw your message) and it is not available to me. I don't understand this because I am in a well developed area with modern construction. maybe Darla will have better luck for her situation. I am sure you meant that advice for her anyway !

Sorry Darla and I will pray the computer gets fixed soon... We never know how much miss we miss this modern stuff till we dont have it....
