What would you say to a coworker?
He did fine. He should be ready for the guy to be an ass later when he does start losing weight. His response should equal, "nobody's business but mine." The other guy sounds like a piece of work. If he does badger your husband after the surgery, your husband should put in a complaint. It amounts to workplace harrassment.
Well one thing is with the band he will not be losing very fast, so as he begins to work out more they will think that it is from all of the work of working out. People are so nosey. If he did not want to tell he should have left it alone. I think he did the right thing.
Whom ever said that people who have WLS are taking the easy way out, have never had this experience. This is a journey and a major challenge. Step by step I am striving to make it as a loser!!

I think however he felt most comfortable handling it was the right way!
If he feels the need to give more info, he can use the abdominal surgery and/or gall bladder problems... Or his apendix.
He should NOT have to offer any explanation, maybe someone at work needs to remind others of workplace ethics and rights!
