Always Keep Your Copies!
I called Dr. Schweitzer's office today to make sure they had all of my paperwork. The only thing they were missing was November's diet record. The dietician didn't have it in my chart. Luckily, I kept copies of EVERYTHING. If not, I'm afraid they would have made me do another class to get that month.
Just a lesson for all the pre-op newbies out there. Keep everything!
I'm going to give them a few days before I bug them again... Then it's time to hound them until they send it in for insurance approval!

Lisa Good Girl for saving the copies. I can remember my mom always telling me to keep copies and always ask who you are speaking to when you make a business call.. I always keep copies and ask for names.. It just stays in my head.... I hope you get approved soon....

Lisa,
That is great advice!! I keep everything in the binder that Dr. S's office gave me. The other thing that I've heard suggested is keeping a log of whom you spoke with, when, and what information is passed. Keep on the office staff, I got to a point where I was calling 2-3 times per week between the office staff and the insurance company. It was a game of he said, she said sometimes but they don't get that these are our lives we're fighting for even if it's only "their" job.
Keep up the good work!
