3 THINGS FOR MONDAY!
Hope everyone is dry and safe! I'm not as exhausted as normal for a Monday - don't know if that bodes well for the rest of the week or not! I had a good weekend, and it looks like those who went to Hershey did, too! Sorry I missed it!
Today, I'm grateful for:
1. I had a wonderful day with B on Saturday! K was at a bday party/sleepover, so it was just B and me from noon on. I told him we could do anything he wanted, go anywhere for lunch, etc. He picked Burger King (ICK!) and then we went to the park, which lasted all of about 30 minutes until he spotted a bee! Then we went to 5 Below, where he bought a chess/checkers set and promptly proceeded to kick my butt in every game of checkers we played!! LOL!!! But we had a great day - I love spending time with them together, but alone time with them is especially fun!
2. TVP - Adds a nice, nutty crunch to my yogurt!!
3. Clean puppies - Happy got a bath yesterday and was post-bath frisky (not that it's any different from any other day)! She came flying out of the bathroom after Mom had dried her, and wormed herself all over me!!! She just cracks me up and always puts a smile on my face!
Have a great day!
Tia
Good morning sweetie! Thank you for the wakeup call on Friday a.m. It WAS time for us to get moving !!! After your call it was into the shower, out to breakfast then we met up with the WHOLE clan for a day at the Maritime Aquarium. Not as big a deal as the Baltimore Aquarium, but still fun. The 6 kids ranged in age from 10 months to almost 13. The 3 older girls had fun entertaining the little ones. There's even a picture of me with Jake! He's a cutie pie for sure.
Let's see ..
1) a good weekend with family (and a few friends) .. 5 of the 7 siblings were together and we had lots of family time. I spent a couple of hours with my mom. Healthwise she is doing well for her age, but she's so depressed about her memory loss it is sad. We snuck away for a while on Saturday night and met friends for a drink. We were making an early getaway yesterday and stopped at the diner for breakfast and ran into another friend and his brother and caught up there too.
2) one day closer to vacation! I think it starts 3 weeks from Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. :)
3) That I am here to be able to enjoy the life I have .. sounds sappy, but I am always grateful to be able to the things I am able to do ... very different than the person I was 5 years ago.
Gotta get busy here ..
Hugs & smoochies!!!!
Comparison is the thief of joy!
If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished. Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago. I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits! Wherever you are in your journey ... It's ALL good!!!
((( MOIE )))
No problem!! Just another service I offer!!! But YIKES, I know how much I hate being snapped to reality by a ringing phone!!!
Sounds like you had a wonderful weekend with your family. Is your Mom on any anti-depressants that would help? Not with the memory loss, of course, but maybe to help her "deal" with it? I know that whole situation is hard on you, and it must be SO frustrating for her.
Not counting down to your vacay, are you? LOL!!
Have a wonderful week!
LY,
T
Mom takes lots of meds, not sure exactly what they are all for. I told her tho that I am always happy to see her and she doesn't have to make excuses to me for her memory. I just live in fear of the day that she doesn't 'know' who I am!
Hugs, Mo

I was greatful to have such good weather while we were away this weekend. Friday was gorgeous in CT and Saturday not far behind it. Yesterday flipped between sun and overcast but it didn't get as cool as we expected, so it was still pleasant.
Talk to you soon!
Hugs, Mo

Awww, baby ducks!!! How sweet!!! Yet another reason to be thankful for spring!
Glad you had a good camping weekend!!!
As far as surgeons - I needed to go onto DVR's website the other day for something, and noticed that there are links to getting info on info sessions, support groups, etc. Just Google his name and you should be able to find it. It can be overwhelming, so I think starting with just two is the way to go.
Have a great day!

today I am grateful for:
1. telephones in the bedroom I woke brian up
2. girl child being agreeable to do the dogs at 6 am so i can leave for work early
3. walmart great value sf apple drink sticks (bought TEN boxes of it yesterday)
