Someone kick my A**
I've been stagnant on a 35 pound weight loss. I got this surgery 7 months ago and I've just fallen back into my old habits.
I have a million excuses as to why I'm not going to the gym and why I'm not eating as healthy. What I need is a support group nearby that doesn't meet on a Thursday evening (school). HELP!>!?!?

Hey Melissa -
I'm sure Heather will be happy to kick your butt should you ask.....
Just curious if you're keeping up with your fills? I know sometimes there are insurance issues, etc., but that's the part of the lap-band procedure that's intriguing to me - the renewed honeymoon period with each fill.
And, specifically, what bad habits have returned? Trust me, lap-band, RNY, the sleeve - we've all been there or will be, to some degree.
As you must've noticed, this is a good way to get support should you be unable to attend a meeting IRL.
Hugs,
Tia

Tia,
I've actually gotten a fill recently, despite not having insurance. I will have insurance once again in the fall because I'll be starting the fulltime nursing program at Univ. of MD. There wasn't a renewed honeymoon period with my last fill, trust me. I have 6cc out of 9cc, and I'm still not there with a lot of restriction. However, my second fill didn't start restricting me until 2 months later which I thought was odd!
Anyways, bad habits.... I hadn't been to the gym since February!!! I went today and kicked my own butt. It all started going downhill when I started babysitting a couple kids throughout the week. I just had no time for myself, ya know? Also, my kid started misbehaving a lot. I am no longer doing any daycare and now I have some time to myself AND my child is behaving alot better!
I have decided to turn over a new leaf starting today. Why did I have surgery if I'm not going to work with it?! Seriously!
Thanks for the support :)

You're welcome!!! I was going to ask how the Big "O" was doing - you pretty much answered that! LOL!!!!
I am certainly no one to talk about going to the gym - for the past 6 months or so, I've donated money each month to Bally's. Since I'm pretty good about everything else, it's clear that that's what it's gonna take to lose the rest of my weight.
SIGH. I feel your pain. Just take heart in your 35 pound loss so far - that's awesome!!!
Oh, and congrats on the nursing program!! Very cool!!!
